其中，適合 5-8歲小朋友的 “藝術故事”課程 - Art Tales，是一門通過講故事的形式，將小朋友不知不覺引入藝術大門的課程。授課老師為(wei) 深受大家喜愛的 Ms. Lauren。Ms. Lauren 是大都會(hui) 藝術博物館特聘兒(er) 童藝術課程老師，擁有藝術史和考古學博士學位，和二十多年的博物館兒(er) 童教育經驗。

Art Tales 課程簡介

適合年齡：5-8 歲

大都會(hui) 藝術博物館的 Art Tales “藝術故事”係列課程分為(wei) 四期，每期十節課。每一期都會(hui) 圍繞不同的學習(xi) 調查主題（Investigative Threads），每一節課會(hui) 講一個(ge) 故事，及與(yu) 其相關(guan) 的大都會(hui) 藝術博物館的藝術作品。通過講故事的形式，將小朋友不知不覺引入藝術大門，享受藝術的熏陶。

我們(men) 將探索世界各地的故事，神話和曆史，並思考一些學習(xi) 調查主題問題。譬如：在這些故事當中呈現的基本信息或者教訓是什麽(me) ？在現代社會(hui) 裏是否還和我們(men) 相關(guan) ？

通過將藝術作品和故事相結合，學生們(men) 將理解如何在藝術作品及其文化背景之間建立視覺聯係和推論，並理解文化背景如何影響藝術家的藝術創作和選擇。素描和其他各種動手活動將有助於(yu) 加深學生對藝術家使用的材料和技巧的了解，並建立與(yu) 課堂討論的藝術品，及故事中的人物，概念的聯係。

THOTH ACADEMY

A R T T A L E S

We will explore stories, myths, and history from around the world by considering stories andexamining certian theme questions. For instance, what is the underlying message or lesson presented in the story, and is this stillrelevant to us today?

Using art objects in conjunction with stories, students will make visualconnections to, and inferences about, the cultural contexts from which the objects and tales come, andhow those contexts influence choices made by artists. Sketching and other hands-on activities will helpfoster a deeper understanding of materials and techniques used by the artists and/or connections withthe objects discussed or with characters and concepts from the stories.

Art Tales Session I

藝術故事第一期

我們(men) 將探索世界各地關(guan) 於(yu) 搗蛋鬼（trickster）的故事，神話和曆史，並思考這樣的問題：在這些故事當中呈現的基本信息或者教訓是什麽(me) ？在現代社會(hui) 裏是否還和我們(men) 相關(guan) ？人們(men) 為(wei) 什麽(me) 講關(guan) 於(yu) trickster 的故事？來自世界不同地區和不同文化的這些故事在哪些方麵相似？它們(men) 又有何不同？為(wei) 什麽(me) 會(hui) 這樣呢？

第一期 Art Tales 的課程裏孩子們(men) 將聆聽學習(xi) 以下故事和主題：

We will explore stories, myths, and history from around the world by considering trickster stories and examining the question: What is the underlying message or lesson presented in the story, and is this still relevant to us today?

Investigative threads:

Why do people tell stories about tricksters?
In what ways are these types of stories from different parts of the world and differentcultures similar? How do they differ? Why might this be so?

老師簡介

Ms. Lauren

藝術史和考古學博士

大都會(hui) 藝術博物館兒(er) 童課程主講老師

Ms. Lauren自1998年以來一直在紐約市以及國外各大博物館工作，既是博物館教育家，又是策展人。二十多年來，一直在博物館裏給來自世界各地的 3-18歲的孩子及其家庭，教授講解不同曆史時期，地域和文化的藝術作品。作為(wei) 博物館教育者，她還幫助紐約市教育部培訓 K-12年級的老師，如何將博物館藝術作品的學習(xi) 和學校的教學課程結合在一起。在策展方麵，Ms. Lauren 曾在紐約市和阿根廷的博物館裏策劃眾(zhong) 多展覽，並為(wei) 國際出版物撰寫(xie) 文章。作為(wei) 擁有藝術史和考古學碩士和博士學位的考古學家和藝術史學家，Ms. Lauren 在阿根廷，法國，希臘和以色列等國家參加了十多個(ge) 野外考古挖掘季節。在閑暇時間，Ms. Lauren 是一位出色的 swing 舞蹈家，在美國及其他國家教授舞蹈並參加國際比賽。

Ms. Lauren has been working in museums in NYC and overseas since 1998, both as a museum educator and on the curatorial side.Laurenhas been teaching children ages 3-18 and their families in a museum setting since 1998, working with art from across time periods, geographies, and cultures, and with students from around the world. As a museum educator, she has also helped to train NYC Department of Education K - 12 teachers on best practices and strategies for integrating working with museumcollections as part of their school curricula. On the curatorial side, Ms. Laurenhas curated exhibits in museums in NYC and Argentina, and written articles for international publication. As an archaeologist and art historian with M.A. and M. Phil degrees in Art History and Archaeology, Ms. Laurenhas spent more than ten field seasons excavating in Argentina, France, Greece, and Israel. In her leisure time, Ms. Laurenis an accomplished swing dancer, traveling in the US and abroad to teach and to compete.
