機構2024 繼續推出眾(zhong) 多學員慕名而來參加的作家老師 Ms. Kari 的創意寫(xie) 作課程。

三年級至八年級的創意寫(xie) 作的五個(ge) 級別的課程，包括從(cong) 創意寫(xie) 作入門，到獨立撰寫(xie) 完整的短篇故事，再到有效地參加 Writers Workshop，到如何運用各種文學手法（Literary Devices）來為(wei) 作品增色，再到最後的如何投稿出版自己的作品。通過五個(ge) 進階課程的學習(xi) ，孩子循序漸進紮紮實實地提高寫(xie) 作水平。具體(ti) 為(wei) 以下五門課程：

G3-4 Creative Writing:Introduction to Fiction

小說主要故事元素的入門學習(xi) ，極大地激發學生們(men) 的創意寫(xie) 作興(xing) 趣。

G4-5 Creative Writing:Writing through Novel Study - Anne of Green Gables

以作家的方式去閱讀（Reading like a writer），將小說作為(wei) 範文（Mentor Text），創作出自己的優(you) 秀小說作品。

G5-6 Creative Writing:Writers Workshop

通過作家研討會(hui) 的形式，根據別人的修改意見不斷修改小說作品；並給別人的作品提出修改建議，從(cong) 而學會(hui) 以更思辨的方式來看自己的作品。

通過學習(xi) 各種文學手法技巧來為(wei) 作品錦上添花。每一節課都會(hui) 將具體(ti) 的文學手法（Literary Devices）和一種寫(xie) 作風格（Writing Styles）進行配對學習(xi) 。

G6-8 Advanced Creative Writing:Publishing a Short Story

這是一門給熱愛寫(xie) 作的學生設計的以出版為(wei) 目的的課程。作家老師將一步步地教學生從(cong) 哪些方麵來修改完善自己的作品，如何找到適合自己作品投稿的出版刊物，甚至會(hui) 教如何寫(xie) 給編輯部的 cover letter，如何回複編輯部的信件。課堂上通過閱讀分析同齡人出版的故事，學習(xi) 為(wei) 什麽(me) 這些作品能得以出版，我們(men) 能從(cong) 中學到什麽(me) ，並運用到自己的作品中來。課堂結束後學生將給三個(ge) 出版刊物投稿。

CREATIVE WRITING SERIES

適合年級：G5-6 年級

本課程是個(ge) 寫(xie) 作提高課程，通過學習(xi) 各種文學手法技巧來為(wei) 作品錦上添花。課程將側(ce) 重於(yu) 學習(xi) 不同的文學手法（Literary Devices），以及在以各種寫(xie) 作風格（Writing Styles）進行創意寫(xie) 作時如何具體(ti) 使用它們(men) 。每一節課都會(hui) 將具體(ti) 的文學手法和一種寫(xie) 作風格進行配對學習(xi) 。

例如，在某一節課中我們(men) 專(zhuan) 門講解以喜劇風格（comedic style）進行寫(xie) 作，我們(men) 就會(hui) 學習(xi) 相關(guan) 的文學手法技巧，包括 irony, paradox, 和 satire。在課堂上，我們(men) 會(hui) 研究學習(xi) 這些寫(xie) 作風格和文學手法技巧的具體(ti) 例子。然後要求學生運通在課堂上學到的東(dong) 西撰寫(xie) 自己的作品，模仿的同時也要體(ti) 現自己的創意。

在十節課的學習(xi) 中，學生將會(hui) 接觸到多種不同的創意寫(xie) 作類型，學會(hui) 各種創意寫(xie) 作的技巧。日後談論起寫(xie) 作技巧時，會(hui) 胸有成竹，頭頭是道。

G5-6 Literary Devices in Fiction and Poetry

Course Description

This course will focus on different literary devices and how we can use them when writing creatively in various styles. Each lesson pairs a literary device with a style of writing. For example, one lesson will be on writing in the comedic style, and through this we will learn about the devices of irony, paradox, and satire. In class, we will study examples of these styles and devices. Students will then be asked to write their own short pieces using the things we learned in class. This writing will be both imitative and creative at the same time.

These lessons should expose students to many different avenues of creative writing and give them the tools to write creatively and speak intelligently about the craft of writing.
