John Locke寫(xie) 作競賽

John Locke寫(xie) 作競賽是一個(ge) 麵向中學生的人文課題論文競賽，每年一次，由位於(yu) 英國牛津的獨立教育組織John Locke Institute與(yu) 英國牛津大學和美國普林斯頓大學等名校聯合舉(ju) 辦。

來自全世界的中學生都可以參加，競賽的形式為(wei) 選擇一道題目，完成一篇不超過2000字的論文。意在考察學生在不同學科領域內(nei) 的基本知識結構，寫(xie) 作能力，獨立思考能力，以及邏輯性和辯證分析能力。

在比賽中獲得Distinction可以大幅提升美國和英國大學本科申請金成功率。近半數獲獎者能最終進入普林斯頓、哈佛、耶魯、斯坦福、牛津、劍橋等世界頂級名校！

2 2024John Locke論文競賽評選標準&細則

適合人群

18歲以下的同學均可參加

比賽分為(wei) 14歲-18歲的高年級組和14歲以下的低年級組（Junior Prize）

作品要求

字數限製：2000字

Each essay should address only one of the questions in your chosen subject category,and must not exceed 2000 words (not counting diagrams, tables of data,footnotes, bibliography or authorship declaration).

學生可以提交多篇論文，每篇論文隻能對應一個(ge) 題目

作品提交方式論文以PDF格式提交，通過比賽官網提交 PDF附件的標題名必須采用以下格式：名字-姓氏-類別-問題編號.pdf

注冊(ce) 需要一個(ge) 候選人有權訪問的有效電子郵件地址，官方不接受未在截止日期前注冊(ce) 的候選人的提交。

競賽獎勵來自牛津大學的資深教師擔任評委。每年競賽會(hui) 評選出一篇最佳文章（Best Essay）高年級組以每個(ge) 話題為(wei) 單位（哲學、政治、經濟、曆史、心理、神學、法律），每個(ge) 話題會(hui) 評選出優(you) 秀上榜文章，並從(cong) 中選出一、二、三等獎（學科獎）。

低年級組為(wei) 一個(ge) 參賽單位，評選出優(you) 秀上榜文章，並從(cong) 中選出一、二、三等獎。隻有上榜文章的學生會(hui) 獲得參賽證書(shu) 。‍

·每個(ge) 學科的最佳作品獎，將獲得2000美元的獎學金

·最佳論文的候選人將獲得John Locke學院榮譽青年獎學金

·獲獎論文將會(hui) 在John Locke 學院的網站上發表，頒獎儀(yi) 式將在牛津舉(ju) 行，獲獎者將能夠會(hui) 見評審和John Locke研究所的其他教員

·一般來說，學科類獎項獲獎人數為(wei) 一名

獲獎難度

自2020年以來，參加John Locke寫(xie) 作比賽的人數逐步增長，2022年共計6800多份投稿，2022年的參賽人數已是2020年的250%，今年投稿人數更是有望突破萬(wan) 人大關(guan) ！

競賽共有七大主題，分別為(wei) 哲學、政治、經濟學、曆史、心理學、神學和法律。

據統計，2022年6800多份投稿中，以經濟學為(wei) 主題的投稿數量最多，共計1681份，但獲獎比例隻能排在7大主題的中間位置；以神學為(wei) 主題的投稿獲獎比例最高，但投稿數量是最少的。  

值得注意的是，沒有任何一個(ge) 主題的獲獎比例能超過10%

這也意味著，競賽中獲獎的難度很大，準備參賽的同學們(men) 一定要認真打磨自己的作品，好讓自己的文章脫穎而出。而John Locke官方將會(hui) 根據對相關(guan) 材料的理解、論文質量、原創性、寫(xie) 作風格等方麵的能力進行評判。

主題講解與(yu) 選題指導

解讀本年8個(ge) 領域的32個(ge) 論文題目。

幫助學生理解出題的要點，啟發學生構思論文結構。

引導學生確定他們(men) 要寫(xie) 的題目。

一對一輔導安排

每位學生進行3次一對一輔導。

討論主要論點和論證結構

第一次會(hui) 議：

討論和確定論文的主要論點和論證結構。 指導學生如何引用專(zhuan) 業(ye) 文獻。 布置文獻閱讀和寫(xie) 作進度。

截止日期：4月1日（班課之後兩(liang) 周）

論文初稿指導

每位學生提交論文初稿（2000字）。

第二次會(hui) 議：針對初稿，糾正思路，補充文獻引用。

截止日期：5月11日（第一次一對一會(hui) 議之後六周）

論文修改指導

每位學生提交論文修改稿。

第三次會(hui) 議：幫助學生提煉論文內(nei) 容，充實論點。

截止日期：6月8日（第二次一對一會(hui) 議後三周）
