• The Mustang Math Tournament is a middle school math competitionrun for middle school students around the world.

• It is put together by Mustang Math, anonprofit organizationincluding the directorsof the Stanford and Berkeley Math Tournaments!

 Competition Format and Trainings比賽內(nei) 容和賽前課程

• The competition comprises of 1 individual round and 4 team rounds.

•比賽包括1輪個(ge) 人賽和4輪團隊賽

• It also includes 8 hours of FREE video recorded lessons, where thestudents will receive training on various topics conducted by MustangMath Tournament contest development team.

• 針對已報名考生包括8小時的免費視頻錄製課程，由野馬數學競賽開發團隊進行的各種主題的培訓

Individual Round 個(ge) 人賽環節

• Individual round comprises of 20 questions

• Students must solve all the question in 60 minutes

• All the answers are open-ended

• 個(ge) 人賽包括20個(ge) 問題

• 個(ge) 人賽環節，題目是填空題或簡答題

Team Rounds 團隊賽環節

第一輪：Mounting Mayhem

1. 本輪共設22道Slitherlink謎題，包括標準Slitherlink、Pigs and Wolves、非方形Slitherlink三種類型，每種類型包含一半基礎謎題和一半進階謎題；

2. 考生有15分鍾學習(xi) 規則，在接下來的60分鍾內(nei) 盡可能多地解開謎題。

第二輪：Herding Hexes

1. 本輪共設26題，問題分布在一個(ge) 六邊形網格上，考生需要在45分鍾內(nei) 完成。題目離中心越遠，難度越大；

2. 前10題每題2分，第11-19題每題3分，第20-26題每題4分。

第三輪：Gallop

1. 本輪共設27題，分9組，每組3題，考生在60分鍾內(nei) 完成；

2. 每組問題難度遞增，分值逐漸增加，總分420分。最後一組為(wei) 估算題，根據答案接近程度得分。

第四輪：Relay Rodeo

1. 本輪共設21題，分四種花色（黑桃、紅心、梅花、方塊），每種花色5題，以及附加題（Joker題）1題。考生在45分鍾內(nei) 完成；

2. 部分問題需基於(yu) 同花色中前麵問題的答案，Joker題則基於(yu) 每花色最後一題的答案；

3. 每種花色的前四題每題2分，最後一題每題3分，Joker題6分。

The team divisions are determined by the highest grade levelamongst the team members. 小組的參賽級別以小組成員中報考年級最高的學生為(wei) 準

• Teams with 1 or more 8th graders will be in the Stallion division,• Teams with 7th graders and below will be in the Colt division,• Teams with 6th graders and below will be in the Foal division.Teams may choose to compete in a higher division, if they’d like.

 Individual Awards for each of 5 grades 個(ge) 人賽環節獲獎比例

• Gold: Top 10%金獎：前10%

• Silver: Next 15%銀獎：接下來的15%

• Bronze: Next 25%銅獎：接下來的25%

• Honorable Mention: Next 20%榮譽獎：接下來的20%

• Remaining 30% get E-certificate of Participation剩餘(yu) 的30%參賽者將獲得電子參與(yu) 證書(shu)

Team Awards for 3 Divisions 團隊賽環節獲獎比例

• Gold: Top 8%金獎：前8%

• Silver: Next 12%銀獎：接下來的12%

• Bronze: Next 20%銅獎：接下來的20%

Overall Championship for 5 Grade Levels總冠軍(jun)

• For each grade level with more than 50 contestants, the following titles will be awarded:對於(yu) 每個(ge) 參賽人數超過50人的年級，將頒發以下獎項：

1. Overall Champion – Receives a Contest Voucher of $150 and 3 IJHS Scholarship points.總冠軍(jun) – 獎勵$150的代金券和IJHS積分3分

2. Overall Runner-up – Receives a Contest Voucher of $100 and 2 IJHS Scholarship points.亞(ya) 軍(jun) – 獎勵$100的代金券和IJHS積分2分

3. Overall 2nd Runner-up – Receives a Contest Voucher of $50 and 1 IJHS Scholarship point.季軍(jun) – 獎勵$50的代金券和IJHS積分1分

• The Overall Champion will be determined by summing the individual scores and team awards (Gold =10 points, Silver = 7 points, Bronze = 4 points). The highest total score will earn the title of OverallChampion.
