一文讀懂不同美國大學申請平台區別及對應學校

大學申請的第一步就是弄清楚不同的申請平台到底是什麽(me) ，以及你應該在哪個(ge) 平台上進行申請。最常見的申請平台是Common App和Coalition App，大家應該都聽說過。作為(wei) 中心化平台，它們(men) 能讓申請者集中申請多所大學。你隻需要填一份申請表格，就能把它遞送給所有學校。

此外，還有一些大學有自己的申請平台和係統，比如加州大學，以及一些在德州的大學。不論大家決(jue) 定申請哪些學校，很可能會(hui) 用到以下申請平台中的一個(ge) 或多個(ge) ：

什麽(me) 是申請平台？

在申請大學時，學生需要用到中心化申請平台，比如Common App、Coalition App、UC Application和Apply Texas，或者是學校自己的申請係統，比如麻省理工的MyMIT。在申請平台上，學生需要填寫(xie) 背景信息、學習(xi) 成績、課外活動等等，然後這些材料會(hui) 被提交給平台內(nei) 的所有合作高校。Common App擁有900所合作高校，是最大的申請平台，但也有一部分高校不使用Common App，比如以下這些：

排在Common App之後的第二大申請平台就是Coalition App。在選校時，大家十有八九會(hui) 要用到它們(men) 。

Coalition App有超過150所合作高校，而Common App有900多所。大部分Coalition App的合作學校也都支持Common App。它們(men) 之間的最大區別是，與(yu) Coalition App合作的都是大力資助貧困學生的大學。

如果不想用好幾個(ge) 平台申請大學，重複填寫(xie) 各種基本信息的話，選Common App應該是比較穩妥的。不過大家可以參考Coalition App的合作學校名單，尋找有獎學金的大學。

Coalition App的合作高校數量不算多，不過其中包括了大部分公立大學、大部分藤校、斯坦福、約翰霍普金斯大學、芝大和頂尖的文理學院，比如威廉姆斯、阿默斯特、韋爾斯利和鮑登。

最新的Common App成員

最近Common App又迎來了50多所新的合作高校。 這50個(ge) 新成員中，名氣最響的當屬德州大學奧斯汀分校，它的工程和商科專(zhuan) 業(ye) 非常出名。德州農(nong) 工大學今年也新加入了Common App。多了這50所大學，也許接下來大家用Common App的時候會(hui) 更覺得方便了。

申請平台之間的區別

這些申請平台的區別在哪裏呢？從(cong) 本質上看，它們(men) 是一樣的——學生需要填寫(xie) 背景信息、成績、課外活動並提交個(ge) 人陳述，讓招生官更好地了解他們(men) 。它們(men) 的區別在於(yu) ，有的學校隻使用一個(ge) 平台，除此之外，回答字數的限製、文書(shu) 題目、填寫(xie) 的活動數量等方麵也有不同要求。以下是這些平台之間的主要區別。

Coalition App
