教授：This week we will continue to look at tools that marketers commonly use—particularly tracking. Marketers now have the ability to study and analyze consumers' online viewing habits and purchases. They then use that information to promote related products to consumers through targeted advertising. Some people find this helpful, while others dislike this practice. I'd like to know your opinion. Is it a good practice to have consumers' online product views and purchases tracked by marketers? Why or why not?

審題分析

1. 1月大陸所有考試都已經結束了，所以老師特意搜集了一些海外Or 家考題目，尤其是新題分享給大家。這些題目都有可能在大陸考場考到，所以可以作為(wei) 大家學習(xi) 的補充。

2.題目翻譯：本周我們(men) 將繼續探討營銷人員常用的工具——特別是跟蹤工具。現在，營銷人員可以研究和分析消費者的在線瀏覽習(xi) 慣和購買(mai) 行為(wei) 。然後，他們(men) 利用這些信息通過定向廣告向消費者推銷相關(guan) 產(chan) 品。有些人覺得這種做法很有幫助，而另一些人則不喜歡這種做法。我想了解你對此的看法。讓營銷人員跟蹤消費者的在線產(chan) 品瀏覽和購買(mai) 行為(wei) 是一種好的做法嗎？為(wei) 什麽(me) 或者為(wei) 什麽(me) 不？

3. 題目理解：這又是一道【網絡購物】的話題。這一直是改革後常考的小熱點話題。隻是今天這道家考題又升級難度了，涉及到了大家網購都能接觸到的-大數據分析。

就比如：

當我們(men) 在淘寶下單了一個(ge) 鏟子，然後又給你推薦無數個(ge) 不同的鏟子（promote related products）。

or

當我們(men) 在小紅書(shu) 看成都的旅行攻略，算法就給你推薦各種旅行社，旅行團，旅行跟拍....

👩🏻‍🏫：題外話：網絡數據確實是一個(ge) 很重要的資源，就比如這個(ge) 題目幫助商家分析用戶行為(wei) ，促進購物。所以這也是美國要封禁Tiktok的主要原因。但是誰會(hui) 想到一身反骨的美國網友，比tiktok 更硬，硬鋼美國政府，投靠中國🍠小紅薯。

3. 參考思路：

題目：Is it a good practice to have consumers' online product views and purchases tracked by marketers?

👩🏻‍🏫：對於(yu) 這種比較新的題目，如果深入探討就會(hui) 涉及到很多高深的/專(zhuan) 業(ye) 的“數據分析/ 數據安全./商業(ye) 道德.....”等內(nei) 容。所以最簡單好寫(xie) 的展開方式是改編團裏的【購物類範文例子】，會(hui) 容易很多。

參考思路1：

This is a helpful practice。原因：能夠幫我方便地購買(mai) 到適合自己的產(chan) 品（cater to my needs）。比如，我是一個(ge) 職業(ye) 女性，經常出差。當我想為(wei) 工作購買(mai) 一台電腦的時候。

我所用的亞(ya) 馬遜Amazon 就根據我之前的購物習(xi) 慣，直接給我推薦了輕便，時尚，容易操作(portable, stylish, and easy-to-use)的Apple電腦； 而我的朋友是個(ge) 電競選手，就給她推薦了性能更強勁的，但是不適合攜帶的Alienware computer電腦(- a machine with high-perfromance specificiations but heavy to carry around.)。所以... [改編寫(xie) 作團-購物-語料]

參考思路2：

這不是一個(ge) 好的行為(wei) 。推薦太多相似的產(chan) 品其實 影響，幹擾我購物。比如我有一次購買(mai) 了一台電腦。結果平台繼續給我推薦了很多相似功能的，但是更便宜的電腦。讓我非常後悔自己之前的purchase.

參考思路3：（從(cong) 商家角度）

這不是一個(ge) 有益的行為(wei) 。這樣會(hui) 不利於(yu) 一些負擔不起平台廣告費用的小商家的發展。因為(wei) 這樣的環境下，如果一個(ge) 商家需要平台把產(chan) 品推薦給targeted customers ，就需要支付一大筆費用，這往往超出了剛起步的小商家的能力（For a fledgling small business, the cost of advertising on major platforms like Amazon can be prohibitively expensive）。更有可能導致很多很優(you) 質的產(chan) 品(niche products 小眾(zhong) 產(chan) 品)無法被賣出去，小公司最終倒閉。
