今 日 考 題Task 1: Line chart(動態線圖)

Task 2:In many places, people’s lifestyles are changing very rapidly and this is affecting family relationships. Do the advantages of these developments outweigh the disadvantages?

In recent years, people’s lifestyles have transformed rapidly, significantly altering family relationships in various ways. Although these changes come with some drawbacks, I believe that the overall impact is positive.

On the one hand, the pursuit of modern lifestyles often results in side effects that harm family dynamics. Factors such as long working hours, social obligations, and digital distractions-which are now considered essential parts of contemporary life- reduce the amount of quality time spent with loved ones. For instance, in many households, exhausted parents return home only to spend their evenings on phoness or laptops, while their children, who carve attention, are left feeling neglected. Consequently, traditional values like family meals, open conversations, and shared responsibilities are increasingly being replaced by individual routines. Over time, such emotional distance can weaken family bonds and cause misunderstandings, especially between generations.

On the other hand, these same lifestyles have brought greater flexibility in family structures and personal choices. Unlike in the past, individuals now enjoy more freedom in deciding whether, when, and whom to marry, as well as how many children to have—if any. This autonomy enables people to build families based on mutual understanding and shared values rather than social pressure or tradition. Thus, although families may be smaller or more diverse, they tend to be more stable and emotionally supportive, which leads to healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

In conclusion, while rapid lifestyle changes can sometimes undermine traditional family interactions, they also provide individuals with greater freedom to shape their family lives. On balance, the benefits of increased personal choice and flexibility have a positive effect on the quality and stability of family relationships.
