Some people say that all young people should be required to stay in full-time education until they are at least 18 years old. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

After completing middle school, the majority of teenagers are trapped in uncertainty as they await their future plans. The norm has always been for them to either continue their education or leave school to soon begin working. Therefore, there is a proposal that all teenagers should remain in school until at least their eighteenth birthday, which is supported by my following arguments.

This mandatory policy is enforced by the local administration, which is committed to maintaining social security and prosperity. This is due to the fact that if compulsory education is extended to high school, the dropout rate among high school students will plummet to its lowest level. In some nations, the high percentage of high school dropouts is damaging the lives of young people who are not adequately prepared for the future and have a diminished capacity to acquire the necessary skills to sustain themselves. Those who do not drop out of school are less likely to add to the disorder in society by bearing children at a young age, engaging in criminal behaviour, or relying on government assistance.

Moreover, requiring students to attend school for a longer period of time is an investment for both the community and the individual. Some students are likely to continue their education at colleges or universities after graduating from high school, while others will seek employment with their credentials. In contrast, high school graduates have a stronger probability of employment than the percentage of young people who are not in education, employment, or training will decrease.

Nonetheless, this strategy must take into account the desires and rights of some students who are not proficient at academic learning. Although they may excel in one area (such as art, music, sports, etc.), students may be so inconsistent that they waste their time studying full-time. Besides, the government's financial condition presents a second difficulty. Long-term obligatory education necessitates an enormous amount of public funds, which are spent on school building and faculty hiring, resulting in a huge financial strain for the government.

In conclusion, I believe that encouraging all teenagers to complete their high school education can solve several societal problems and is also helpful to individuals and society. But this isn't a magic bullet, and forcing all teenagers to go to school full time is unreasonable and should be re-evaluated again.
