Since the beginning of time, primitive men have traveled tremendous distances for food, clothing, and a better habitat. However, tourism in its modern mass form is a phenomenon particular to the twenty-first century, and it frequently signifies the emergence of a large new business that both creates opportunities and becomes a problem for many governments throughout the globe.
Many people have different thoughts about what tourists might offer underdeveloped areas and communities. As one of the major elements of the tertiary economy, tourism initiates a chain of economic indicators, including value-added capital investment, employment, and tax contributions. There are also many who believe that its economic impact is unknown and that the tours frequently upset the locals' daily lives. It is challenging to assess tourism's impact on remote areas and communities because the industries that seem to thrive because of tourism, like food and accommodation, also serve the residents. But visits actually become an issue when the residents find themselves fully occupied by outsiders everywhere; they are upset to see so many strangers in public places, shops, restaurants, or even at their front gates.
However, individuals may readily agree on the deep, detrimental consequences of tourism on local communities' environments, and they worry about the ecological damage caused by a wide range of tourism activities. Once locations, particularly fragile ones, are reconstructed as tourist resorts, conflicts arise between the natural resources and the invasion of modern facilities. It is evident what individuals would choose to do if they could make more in a few weeks working as porters for tourists than they could in a year labouring in the fields. Likewise, this is considered a possible trigger for desertification.
In conclusion, regardless of how the ecosystem of certain rural locations would be badly impacted by tourism, I would still view it as a positive method to improve the lives of locals. These regions flourish when they are well-known among those who are willing to pay to travel.
