Innovative technology is progressively rebuilding humans' daily lives in the current era, which is somewhat reflected in the subject of "reading" Others concur that physical books continue to play a vital role, despite claims by some that reading on electronic devices can replace the traditional way. I believe electronic books can replace physical books to some extent. However, printed books would not vanish entirely.

To begin with, a sizable number of people place a high value on e-books due to the benefits they present. As readers can modify the font size, line spacing, and font style, the customization and reading experience are the primary benefits. Moreover, e-readers include built-in dictionaries; therefore, language learners can increase the speed with which they can look up the meaning of words while reading, resulting in a more effective language-learning process. For example, e-readers, smartphoness, and PCs can store thousands of volumes, making them more portable than physical books. Among them, the Kindle, a technical device that offers a variety of book formats, satisfies the aforementioned conditions.

Others, however, believe that printed books have been predominant for centuries and will continue to have an advantage over e-books. The first and foremost reason is the bodily benefits that it can provide. Long-term exposure to blue-emitting electronic screens while reading e-books increases the likelihood of eye strain and vision impairment. But, this can be minimised by reading printed literature. Second, traditional readers, such as the elderly who have read physical books their entire lives, may have difficulty locating e-book resources and find e-readers difficult to operate. In addition, e-reading makes it difficult for readers to focus on the text without being distracted by text messages or advertisements that flash up on the screen. This explains why printed books play such an important role in the school system. Children with underdeveloped frontal lobes and poor self-control lose attention easily. Accordingly, it is proposed that textbooks be printed as opposed to computerised.

In conclusion, even if e-books have various advantages, I believe physical books, particularly textbooks, will continue to exist.
