​RL考試不需要模版,來看看PTE 官方RL考試技巧

Retell Lecture這個(ge) 題型,你有10s 準備, 40s 錄音 ,錄音時間控製在30s到40s。

官方考試技巧手冊(ce) 裏明確提出

  1. 不要蹦詞!不要說很多單詞,盡可能多的記下短語和句子。
  2. 要有連接性,不要隻記短語,然後全部用and連接。可以有so, then, because等連接詞which, who, that等關係從句,展示句子間的邏輯性。
  3. 如果考官發現有明顯的背書痕跡會直接0分。
  4. 你不需要複述整個講座的內容,判斷並複述講座的重點內容,比如人物,動作,地點以及你說的信息之間的關聯性。
  5. 說廢話湊時間 比如說 “That is my answer to this question and final conclusions have been mentioned”.
  6. 請盡量說滿40s,你說的越長,得到更多的內容分的幾率越大。

下麵我們(men) 來看幾個(ge) 案例。文章的主題是Creating Recipes。其中A的評分為(wei) excellent;B為(wei) good;C和D是average;而E是poor answer。

高分回答的首句概括主旨,包含了所有講座中的main points以及結論。另外可以注意到A回答用了they said,chef said對比E中用了大量的模板填充詞,比如after that the speaker mentioned。

學會(hui) 了麽(me) ,下次你也可以用they said,they mentioned。RL 的考點是盡可能的記下更多的講座內(nei) 容,然後用自己的話重複講座內(nei) 容,不要重複你記得短句,然後用模版湊時間。

Answer A

The talk was about a scientific process of making new recipes. So for chefs making cookery books or making recipes for other chefs. (主旨句)

They said attention to detail is really important and that chefs normally use a test kitchen (用了原文中的關(guan) 鍵詞) where every single step is recorded.

Everything needs to be carefully and precisely measured out as they go through these steps to make a recipe. Once, they’ve done it - they’ve checked everything many times like the ingredients. Then the recipe is trialled, it’s trialled by someone else.

Normally a competent cook, not necessarily a chef. And then that competent cook (用了原文中的關(guan) 鍵詞) gives feedback on instructions. Chefs said they don’t like creating recipes like this because they are not spontaneous.

When chefs went to develop a recipe, they do it in a special kitchen that works more like a lab, where they try to reproduce the same recipe over and over, looking for the exact same outcome of flavour and whatever.

So after they produce a recipe, usually though they go test it with someone who isn’t a chef but just a good cook(可能沒聽出來competent) and then those people can give some feedback about the recipe.

Chefs usually don’t like the process of the lab recipe thing because they can’t be as creative or spontaneous.(得出結論)

When chefs need to create a new recipe, they often do that process like laboratory investigation. So they develop the recipe very carefully and record all the aspects such as quantities of ingredients, cooking time or temperature.(沒有提到關(guan) 鍵詞 test kitchen)

So they may repeat that process many times in order to produce the recipe and so that other people can also be able to do that process.

So after that, the recipe is tested by staff of the kitchen. (沒有總結句,缺少了many chef don’t like creating receipts)

So this is about the process of chef creating your recipe. (主旨句)

So they basically have to repeat the process many different times to perfect it until it can be given to everyone to try out the recipe. So it’s almost and then before they put out the recipe, there’s someone who tries it and it gives feedback. (高度概括原文內(nei) 容,缺少關(guan) 鍵詞,依然可以得到average分數)

So it’s almost like a scientific experiment rather than just cooking.(這句話是文章開頭的部分,可以用來做結論,但缺少了原文最後的many chef don’t like creating receipts)

Answer E

The lecture gives important information about chefs. Firstly, the speaker explained about recipes. After that the speaker mentioned the importance of ingredients and kitchens. The speaker also highlighted the crucial part of cooking.

In conclusion, the speaker gives important key information about chefs and recipes. 別再說這種模板啦!

RL 為(wei) 什麽(me) 不需要模板

來看看這個(ge) 常見的模板:

The speaker began by talking about (phrase)可以用這個(ge) 句型可以概括主旨句,確實是個(ge) 得分點。但從(cong) 以上五個(ge) 回答來看,沒有主旨句也能得到一個(ge) 好分數。

  • Then she/he moved on to providing details about(phrase)
  • The primary focus was on
  • Similarly, she/he pointed out that (sentence)

這三個(ge) 句型是完全沒必要的,會(hui) 顯得你沒有聽懂原文的內(nei) 容。因為(wei) 沒有聽懂,所以無法複述。如果你真的聽懂了,即使和原文的用詞有偏差也不影響分數。

In the end, she/he suggested that it is necessary to(verb+object)用這句話來得出結論也是多餘(yu) 的。很多文章沒有明顯的結論句,強行找結論會(hui) 占用思考的時間。

這篇文章的結論是many chefs don’t enjoy creating receipt because …..在真實的考試中,學生更多會(hui) 把這句話當成錄音提到的最後一個(ge) 部分,沒有意識到這是個(ge) 結論句。
