在大英賽的筆試賽題中，寫(xie) 作題共分為(wei) Section A和Section B兩(liang) 部分，共計30分，答題時間為(wei) 25分鍾。

Section A是小作文，分值為(wei) 10分，主要以應用文和描述性作文為(wei) 主。應用文多以信函、通知、廣告等內(nei) 容出現；描述性作文多以給出數據、圖表等素材，要求參賽者對所給材料進行描述說明來作文，本部分作文主要考查參賽者對信息的捕捉並用英語進行準確描述的能力。
