Your university currently requires all students to take one humanities course in a subject such as literature or philosophy in order to graduate. However, some students majoring in subjects such as math and science think that these humanities courses are not relevant to their field of study, and they should therefore not be required to take them. 如果同意這些學生，可以說：
01 不是每個(ge) 修 Math and Science 學生都覺得 Humanities 的課有用，這些學生畢業(ye) 後大多計劃做數據分析員，生物學家，或者老師；學習(xi) 怎麽(me) 讀小說以及哲學對他們(men) 來說幫助不大；更不用說還會(hui) 占用本來學專(zhuan) 業(ye) 課的時間。
02 對學校來說確實也不是一個(ge) 合適的考慮，因為(wei) 如果所有學生都要上這個(ge) 課，學校也得確保雇用足夠的老師以及購買(mai) 足夠的教材資料，這些需要不少錢。
如果不同意這些學生，可以說：
01 雖然 Humanities 和 Math / Science 看似沒有直接關(guan) 係，但是兩(liang) 個(ge) 領域都接觸會(hui) 讓學生接受更全麵的教育，Humanities 也能讓學生獲得很多有用的能力，比如哲學讓學生更思辨和更有邏輯，文學能培養(yang) 學生想象力，都很有用。
02 另外學生通過上 Humanities 的課程，能夠培養(yang) 同理心，有文化意識，對世界也有更深了解。
