當然,如果你接觸過2019年8月改革前的托福,你會(hui) 發現以前的 Task 5(對的,你沒看錯, task 5,以前口語考6道題 ... )有類似的考察內(nei) 容。
"Woman: Well, another option is I could get an extension on one of the papers. I asked one of my professors about it, my History professor, and she said it would be OK if I handed the paper in a week late. So, I guess I could just concentrate on getting the other two papers done first.Man: Oh, that’s great.Woman: Yeah, only she said she’d have to take a few points off the grade for the paper since it would be late, you know, to be fair to the other students.Man: Oh, that’s a drag."

畢竟還是和學習(xi) 學校有關(guan) 的話題,思路還是挺好想的。
如果說 this is a good idea ,可以說:
學校畢竟是一個(ge) 教育的地方,如果學生任務沒做好,老師應該做的是給他們(men) 機會(hui) 去學習(xi) 他們(men) 還沒有掌握的知識,允許他們(men) 通過其他的方式(比如寫(xie) paper,做 research,或者做個(ge) presentation)來繼續學習(xi) 相關(guan) 內(nei) 容。如果他們(men) 最後表現符合要求,那當然可以通過這個(ge) 來提升整體(ti) 分數,證明他們(men) 花了時間且掌握了。
另外,如果不能讓學生通過其他方式來提升分數的話,會(hui) 影響部分學生的發展。比如學生可能因為(wei) gpa 很低沒法按時畢業(ye) ,或者有可能影響學生申請 grad school,不管是哪種情況,對學生來說都是很困難的,老師應該要給學生機會(hui) 。
如果說 not a good idea,可以說:
這對於(yu) 其他任務取得不錯分數的同學來說不公平。他們(men) 是花了時間準備的(比如認真聽講,消化課上內(nei) 容,每天都在看相關(guan) 的研究和文章書(shu) 籍),如果結果不理想的同學可以重新換種方式來提升分數,那大家積極性都會(hui) 被打擊,可能以後也不會(hui) 那麽(me) 努力。
另外對教授也不公平啊,用其他方式去彌補其實會(hui) 加大教授的工作量,因為(wei) 教授需要額外花時間和花精力去布置,比如出新的主題,或者設計新的任務,學生做完以後還要去改,更不用說過程中要持續和學生溝通。
