Maria Huerta-Cervantes

Director of Recruitment

María Huerta-Cervantes (she/her) received a BA in Architecture from Princeton University and an Ed.M. in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her career in education began as a college counselor assisting first-generation, low-income students in their journey to and through higher education.

Her passion for architecture, education, and counseling led her to the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) where she worked closely with undergraduate, graduate, and post-professional applicants and played a pivotal role in launching the school&'s Academic Outreach Initiatives. Now as Director of Recruitment at ArtCenter College of Design, she brings her diverse skills and experiences to guide aspiring artists and designers to achieve their creative educational and career goals.

In her volunteer work, María serves as a mentor for the UCLA Riordan College to Career Program, volunteers as a Princeton interviewer, and has chaired the Princeton Alumni Schools Committee's Inland Empire Region since 2018.

學校介紹

藝術中心設計學院（ArtCenter College of Design，又簡稱為(wei) ArtCenter或ACCD），是一所非營利的私立藝術學院，座落於(yu) 美國加州的帕薩迪納。QS世界大學藝術與(yu) 設計專(zhuan) 業(ye) 全球排名No.10，美國最高畢業(ye) 生薪水藝術設計院校。

ACCD注重實踐，課程教學與(yu) 項目實踐相結合，注重學生未來的職業(ye) 發展。學校提供豐(feng) 富的實習(xi) 和就業(ye) 資源，讓學生在校期間就能積累充足的實踐經驗，因而ACCD的畢業(ye) 生在就業(ye) 市場極具競爭(zheng) 力。學校同多家世界知名企業(ye) 建立緊密的合作關(guan) 係，畢業(ye) 生遍布穀歌、蘋果、耐克、福特等公司。同時，ACCD也為(wei) 留學生提供留美簽證的幫助。學校職業(ye) 發展中心每年會(hui) 應屆畢業(ye) 生就業(ye) 情況進行調查，絕大多數畢業(ye) 生均能在畢業(ye) 一年內(nei) 找到滿意的工作。

ACCD培養(yang) 出了一批實力強悍的設計師與(yu) 藝術家，包括寶馬首席設計師Chris Bangle；小米公司聯合創始人劉德；《珍珠港》、《變形金剛》導演邁克爾·貝；諾基亞(ya) 首席設計師Frank Nuovo；特斯拉汽車公司汽車設計師Franz von Holzhausen等等。

專(zhuan) 業(ye) 介紹

作為(wei) 藝術院校中的實踐派，ACCD在申請時就歡迎學生確定好未來發展方向，在大一入學後就開始專(zhuan) 業(ye) 學習(xi) ，給學生盡可能多的時間去創造作品集，以便未來申請到更滿意的工作。但同時，ACCD也支持學生在第一年不定專(zhuan) 業(ye) 方向，充分探索不同領域，找到自己的興(xing) 趣方向。在確定主修專(zhuan) 業(ye) 後，學生也可以根據自己的學習(xi) 能力和興(xing) 趣選擇輔修專(zhuan) 業(ye) 。ACCD的汽車和交通工具設計、數碼設計專(zhuan) 業(ye) 、插畫、平麵設計、娛樂(le) 設計等，在全世界均處於(yu) 領先水平。

ACCD的專(zhuan) 業(ye) 設置非常豐(feng) 富，學生在申請時需要綜合考量自身興(xing) 趣、藝術功底、學術能力等，以便匹配最適合自己的專(zhuan) 業(ye) 。同時不同專(zhuan) 業(ye) 有著不同的申請要求，如感興(xing) 趣請聯係IvyArt的申請顧問進行一對一谘詢。

PS:  ACCD雖然也支持第一年不確定專(zhuan) 業(ye) 的申請，但部分專(zhuan) 業(ye) 需要入學時就確定好方向，比如電影設計、遊戲設計、空間設計等。

1、申請是滾動招生，先到先得，錄滿即止

2、ED早申截止：11月15日，建議盡早遞交

3、RD常規截止：2月1日（ED未通過，不可繼續申請同學年RD）

4、ACCD需要提交合格的語言成績，要求托福不低於(yu) 80分，雅思6.5分，多鄰國115分

5、除了作品集外，所有學生還需要一篇簡答論文和兩(liang) 篇論文，（不同專(zhuan) 業(ye) 具體(ti) 要求詳見官網）
