重要消息！2024 ROSS羅斯數學營申請開放啦！！！

2024年羅斯數學營將開設2個(ge) 線下營，都在美國！ 特別注意的是，2024年羅斯亞(ya) 洲營繼續停辦，預計可能在2025年回歸。 據官網公布，今年羅斯數學營申請截止日期為(wei) 3月15日，比去年足足提早了半個(ge) 月！有意申請的同學們(men) 一定要提早做準備！

ROSS羅斯數學營

Ross數學營於(yu) 1957年由Arnold Ross博士在聖母大學創立，並於(yu) 1964年起與(yu) 俄亥俄州立大學聯合舉(ju) 辦，與(yu) PROMYS、SUMaC並稱三大美國數學訓練營。作為(wei) 世界上選拔性最高的數學營之一，該項目在美國大學招生官中知名度非常高。

Ross數學營邀請美國知名教授為(wei) 來自世界各地的頂尖高中生傾(qing) 情授課，通過數論問題研究，激發學員對於(yu) 數學的興(xing) 趣，培養(yang) 辯證思維。每年申請羅斯數學營的高中生，隻有10%能夠有幸進入羅斯營學習(xi) ，曆屆羅斯校友多被美國常青藤大學及其他世界名校錄取，是申請者數學天賦和能力最有力的佐證。

02麵向學生

對數學、科學感興(xing) 趣且具備一定英文基礎的全球15~18歲學生，極少數情況下會(hui) 破格錄取其他年齡段學生。

羅斯數學營項目的課程周期是六周， 不同的營地時間安排如下：

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

所有參與(yu) 者將住在學校宿舍，通常情況下，學生將和其他三個(ge) 室友住在一套小房間裏。

在為(wei) 期六周的暑期課程中，參與(yu) 者每周上課10小時 (5個(ge) 講座，5個(ge) 小組會(hui) 議)。除了這些課程，學生們(men) 需要安排自己的時間，其餘(yu) 時間則用來完成課上未解決(jue) 的數學題。

在解決(jue) 每一個(ge) 數學題後，學生必須提交一份清晰、完整的英文證明過程，鍛煉邏輯思維和撰寫(xie) 嚴(yan) 謹數學證明的能力。

課程主題以數論為(wei) 中心，涵蓋歐幾裏得算法、模運算、二項式係數、多項式、連分數、高斯整數、有限域、幾何證明法等領域。

02申請步驟

登陸https://apply.rossprogram.org/進入申請頁麵，注冊(ce) /登陸賬號。

根據左側(ce) 導航欄，依次填寫(xie) 或上傳(chuan) 需要的信息、資料，完成後可提交申請。

左側(ce) 導航欄是需要申請者需要提交的材料，根據其要求上傳(chuan) 填寫(xie) 個(ge) 人信息、父母信息、個(ge) 人陳述、小文書(shu) 、申請題目解答、推薦信等內(nei) 容，完成後即可提交申請。

（1）個(ge) 人陳述

個(ge) 人陳述需要圍繞官網提供的問題進行討論，包括對於(yu) 數學的興(xing) 趣、參加Ross營的目標，以及在數學之外的興(xing) 趣與(yu) 愛好。

（2）小文書(shu) Short Essays

小文書(shu) 分為(wei) passion, community, collaboration, background, source, activities, future goals, other information這八個(ge) 方麵，申請者需要在這一部分展示自己對數學的熱情、數學相關(guan) 經曆、個(ge) 人活動以及對未來專(zhuan) 業(ye) 的思考。

2024年Ross申請試題已經公布，申請頁麵可以下載（文末可以領取2024Ross營完整版試題）

提交材料的過程中需要注意：

* 每道題的解答必須以單獨的PDF格式上傳(chuan) 。

* 必須使用PDF文件格式。如果您文件是其他格式的要將其轉換為(wei) PDF，檢查轉換後的文件是否可讀，然後上傳(chuan) 該PDF。（LaTeX或類似的排版程序編寫(xie) 或手寫(xie) 解析均可以，注意合成在一個(ge) PDF內(nei) ，確認文件是否可讀，文件大小盡量在5M字節以下）

*招生委員會(hui) 並不是需要申請者在最短的時間內(nei) 寫(xie) 出快速的答案，而是要有清晰可讀的數學說明，包括你的思考探索、猜想和證明的過程。

Personal Statement

This is free space for you to tell us about yourself! Introduce yourself to us: who are you? This essay serves as your introduction to the Admissions Committee, and provides an opportunity for you to discuss your interest in mathematics and your goals for your participation in the Ross Program.

Tell us about your mathematical journey! Some possible things you could talk about are the following (you do not have to answer all of these, nor are you limited to these questions):

⭐What is a mathematical idea you find exciting and would love to share?

⭐Tell us about some mathematics that you’ve worked on and enjoyed.

All responses are welcome! This isn’t a test for coming up with something “impressive” or for you to try and figure out what math we’re “looking for” — we really want to hear about mathematics that you like and find interesting.) Coming to Ross is a 6-week endeavor. What makes you want to come to Ross and do math for 6 weeks? What do you hope to get out of Ross?

At Ross, you will have to live with many different people, some who you may have much in common with, and some who may have different life experiences from your own. (This can include, but is not limited to: what should people know about the way you engage with and learn mathematics?) What will you commit to doing to help make the community one that welcomes your future community members?
