SAT文法易錯題—逗號的錯誤使用解析

6月SAT大考結束，緊接著8月份考試就來啦！有考試規劃的同學一定要抓住最後兩(liang) 個(ge) 月的備考時間~

在準備SAT文法考試時，很多同學都會(hui) 發現一個(ge) 小小的標點符號——逗號，竟然成了讓人頭疼的大問題。盡管我們(men) 每天寫(xie) 作文、寫(xie) 作業(ye) 都在用逗號，但在考試中，逗號的使用規則卻讓人覺得有些陌生，甚至有些容易出錯。逗號不僅(jin) 僅(jin) 是停頓的標誌，它還涉及到句子的結構和邏輯。為(wei) 了幫大家在SAT文法考試中順利過關(guan) ，本期就跟著Alex老師輕鬆聊聊逗號的正確用法和常見的誤區，讓你在考試中不再為(wei) 它煩惱。

首先我們(men) 來看看常考的幾種逗號的錯誤用法：

A

介詞前後不應使用逗號

✘ 錯誤用法：

1.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage were two of the most influential figures, inthe history of computer science and mathematics.

2.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage were two of the most influential figures in,the history of computer science and mathematics.

在這些例子中，逗號不應該出現在介詞"in"之前或之後。

✔ 正確用法：

1.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage were two of the most influential figures inthe history of computer science and mathematics.

這個(ge) 句子沒有在介詞"in"前後使用逗號，符合正確的用法。

♦例外情況：非必要性從(cong) 句中的介詞

唯一的例外是當介詞用來開始一個(ge) 非必要性從(cong) 句時，這時可以在介詞前使用逗號。

✔正確用法：

1.Although Ada Lovelace lived nearly a century before the first computer was built, she, in a way thatwas unique among nineteenth-century mathematicians, foresaw many of the modern computer's capabilities.

在這個(ge) 例子中，介詞"in"用於(yu) 開始一個(ge) 非必要性從(cong) 句，因此前麵使用了逗號。這種用法是正確的。

B

形容詞和名詞之間不應使用逗號

✘錯誤用法：

1.Headquartered in New York City, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is a well-knownnational, organizationwith local chapters in cities around the United States.

在這個(ge) 例子中，逗號錯誤地放在了形容詞"national"和名詞"organization"之間。

✔ 正確用法：

1.Headquartered in New York City, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is a well-known national organizationwith local chapters in cities around the United States.

在這個(ge) 正確的例子中，形容詞"national"和名詞"organization"之間沒有逗號，符合正確的用法。

C

第一個(ge) 形容詞修飾第二個(ge) 形容詞時不應使用逗號

如果第一個(ge) 形容詞修飾第二個(ge) 形容詞，或者如果這兩(liang) 個(ge) 形容詞之間不能用“and”分隔，則不需要使用逗號。

✘錯誤用法：

1.Created in Jamaica during the late 1960s, reggae music emerged from a number of sources ranging from traditional, African songsand chants to contemporary jazz.

在這個(ge) 例子中，“traditional”修飾“African songs”，因此這兩(liang) 個(ge) 形容詞之間不應有逗號。

✔正確用法：

1.Created in Jamaica during the late 1960s, reggae music emerged from a number of sources ranging from traditional African songsand chants to contemporary jazz.

在這個(ge) 正確的例子中，沒有在“traditional”和“African songs”之間使用逗號，因為(wei) 第一個(ge) 形容詞“traditional”是用來修飾第二個(ge) 形容詞“African songs”的。

D

主語和動詞之間不應使用逗號

主語和動詞之間不應有逗號，除非它們(men) 被一個(ge) 非必要性從(cong) 句分隔開。

✘錯誤用法：

1.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage, weretwo of the most influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

在這個(ge) 例子中，逗號錯誤地放在了主語“Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage”和動詞“were”之間。

✔正確用法：

1.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage weretwo of the most influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

在這個(ge) 正確的例子中，主語和動詞之間沒有逗號，符合正確的用法。

複雜主語情況下的用法：

即使主語非常長和複雜，也不應在主語和動詞之間使用逗號，即使你覺得在語氣上需要停頓。

✘ 錯誤用法：

1.What is particularly remarkable about Ada Lovelace's work on Charles Babbage's "analytical engine," isthat Lovelace foresaw many of the ways in which computers are used today.

在這個(ge) 例子中，逗號錯誤地放在了主語“What is particularly remarkable about Ada Lovelace's work on Charles Babbage's 'analytical engine'”和動詞“is”之間。

✔正確用法：

1.What is particularly remarkable about Ada Lovelace's work on Charles Babbage's "analytical engine" isthat Lovelace foresaw many of the ways in which computers are used today.

在這個(ge) 正確的例子中，主語和動詞之間沒有逗號，符合正確的用法。

非必要性從(cong) 句的例外情況:

如果主語和動詞之間有一個(ge) 非必要性從(cong) 句，則可以在主語和動詞之間使用逗號。

✔正確用法：

1.Ada Lovelace, who was a brilliant mathematician, foresawmany of the ways in which computers are used today.

在這個(ge) 例子中，非必要性從(cong) 句“who was a brilliant mathematician”分隔了主語“Ada Lovelace”和動詞“foresaw”，因此使用逗號是正確的。

E

複合項之間不應使用逗號

當兩(liang) 個(ge) 名詞、動詞、形容詞等由"and"連接時，不應該使用逗號。一個(ge) 簡單的方法是將“逗號+and”替換成句號。如果這兩(liang) 個(ge) 部分不能組成完整的句子，那麽(me) 就不應該使用逗號。

複合名詞

✘ 錯誤用法：

1.Ada Lovelace, andCharles Babbage were two of the most influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

• 替換法：

·Ada Lovelace. Charles Babbage were two of the most influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

這個(ge) 句子顯然是不完整的，因為(wei) “Charles Babbage were two of the most influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics”不是一個(ge) 完整的句子。

✔ 正確用法：

1.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage were two of the most influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

複合形容詞

✘錯誤用法：

1.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage were two of the most important, andinfluential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

•替換法：

·Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage were two of the most important. Influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

這個(ge) 句子也顯然是不完整的，因為(wei) “Influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics”不是一個(ge) 完整的句子。

✔正確用法：

1.Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage were two of the most important and influential figures in the history of computer science and mathematics.

F

“Self”詞之前或之後不應使用逗號

“Self”詞（如myself, itself, themselves等）用於(yu) 強調特定的人或物。在這些詞之前或之後不應使用逗號，除非是為(wei) 了設置非必要從(cong) 句或分隔兩(liang) 個(ge) 獨立的句子。

✘ 錯誤用法：

1.The Tower of London, which lies within the Borough of Tower Hamlets, is separated from the city, itself by a stretch of open space.

2.The Tower of London, which lies within the Borough of Tower Hamlets, is separated from the city, itself,by a stretch of open space.

✔ 正確用法：

1.The Tower of London, which lies within the Borough of Tower Hamlets, is separated from the city itself by a stretch of open space.

在正確的例子中，沒有在“city”和“itself”之間或“itself”之後使用逗號。

大多數情況下，在強調代詞之後使用逗號也是不正確的

✘錯誤用法：

1.The Tower of London, which lies within the Borough of Tower Hamlets, is separated from the city itself,by a stretch of open space.

特殊情況：在FANBOYS連接詞之前或設置非必要從(cong) 句時可以使用逗號。

當逗號用於(yu) 設置非必要從(cong) 句或在FANBOYS連接詞之前分隔兩(liang) 個(ge) 獨立句時，逗號的使用是正確的。

✔正確用法：

1.The Tower of London is separated from the city itself, but it is nevertheless one of London's most popular tourist attractions.

在這個(ge) 例子中，逗號加上“but”用於(yu) 分隔兩(liang) 個(ge) 獨立的句子，第一個(ge) 句子恰好以“itself”結尾。
