Social Justice Awards 2024 Spring 正式開啟！

Social Justice Awards是由青少年非營利組織Social Justice Watcher (SJW) 所舉(ju) 辦的公益項目，旨在通過鼓勵青少年進行寫(xie) 作、演講與(yu) 藝術創作，引導青少年關(guan) 注社會(hui) 不平等現象，促使青年人思考並通過自身行動改變社會(hui) 。

在往屆活動中，我們(men) 收到來自中國、新加坡、美國、英國、加拿大、荷蘭(lan) 、瑞士、日本、泰國等地區360多所中學，超過2100名學生的作品。多位優(you) 秀參與(yu) 者被哈佛大學、耶魯大學、哥倫(lun) 比亞(ya) 大學、斯坦福大學、芝加哥大學、西北大學、布朗大學、康奈爾大學、牛津大學等世界名校錄取。

此次活動，我們(men) 邀請了來自威廉姆斯學院、麻省理工學院、劍橋大學、哈佛大學、複旦大學、芝加哥藝術學院、布爾日國立高等藝術學院、中央聖馬丁藝術與(yu) 設計學院等專(zhuan) 家與(yu) 教授擔當本次活動的特邀專(zhuan) 家。

活動背景

2024 Spring主題：Embrace Abilities, Disable Discrimination

殘疾歧視代表一種係統性偏見和歧視，針對的是殘疾人群體(ti) ，源自對標準能力更為(wei) 機構的錯誤觀念。這種廣泛存在的偏見影響了自認為(wei) 殘疾的人以及被他人認為(wei) 是殘疾的人。

殘疾是人類生活的自然組成部分，受到各種健康狀況（如癡呆症、失明和脊髓損傷(shang) ）以及環境和個(ge) 人因素的影響。

目前，在全球範圍內(nei) 約有13億(yi) 人受到重度殘疾的影響，占全球人口的16%。

殘疾人群體(ti) 是一個(ge) 多元化的群體(ti) ，他們(men) 的生活經曆和健康需求受到性別、年齡、性取向、宗教、種族、民族和經濟地位等因素的影響。

How do you understand this quote?”

Do you think that disability makes a person “exceptional?” Why or Why not?

People often have the assumption that disabled people need to be ‘fixed’ in one form or the other. What is your opinion of this?

Share a personal story or experience with ableism and how it affected you or someone you know.

所有參與(yu) 者必須從(cong) 以上題目中選擇一個(ge) 作為(wei) 作品主題，通過寫(xie) 作、藝術作品或演講表達自己的觀點。

參與(yu) 條件 Entry Requirements：

任何國家地區任何學校，且年齡在提交截止日期時未超過20歲的青少年均可參加。

寫(xie) 作作品要求 Writing Requirements

作品須以英語寫(xie) 成

敘事文或論文（600-2000詞）；詩歌（不超過80行）

作品須為(wei) 原創。如有引用他人作品，參與(yu) 者必須包括文中引用以及參考文獻。如發現 有抄襲，參與(yu) 者將被立即取消資格。不要在文中包括名字、家庭住址等任何個(ge) 人信息。

The work must be written in English

Narratives or Essays (600-2000 words); Poetry (no more than 80 lines)

Participants must complete their work originally. If other’s works are cited, participants must include in-textcitation and bibliography. Once the participant is found to plagiarized, he or she will be disqualified directly. Do not include any personal information, such as name, home address, etc

演講作品要求 Speech Requirements

作品須以英語演講

演講時長不得超過5分鍾

作品須為(wei) 原創。如有引用他人作品，參與(yu) 者必須包括文中引用以及參考文獻。如發現 有抄襲，參與(yu) 者將被立即取消資格。不要在文中包括名字、家庭住址等任何個(ge) 人信息。

The speech must be done in English

Video length must not exceed 5 minutes

Participants must complete their work originally. Once the participant is found to plagiarized, he or she will be disqualified directly. Do not include any personal information, such as name, home address, etc

演講作品格式 Speech Formats

作品以Word作為(wei) 最終格式上傳(chuan) （例如：某參與(yu) 作品為(wei) 攝影/視頻作品，則參與(yu) 者可以先建立word文檔，在文檔中插入作品/視頻鏈接, 例如bilibili，youtube etc.以及作品陳述後提交）

文件名由姓名+類別組成（keyi Lin, Speech）

Videos will be uploaded in video link (e.g. bilibili, youtube etc.）

The file is named by name + category (keyi Lin, Speech)

活動題目 Prompts:

Where does ableism originate from?

What barriers have you seen in your community that prevent the inclusion of people with disabilities?

所有參與(yu) 者必須從(cong) 以上題目中選擇一個(ge) 作為(wei) 作品主題，通過寫(xie) 作表達自己的觀點。

任何國家地區任何學校，且年齡在提交截止日期時未超過15歲的青少年均可參加。

獎項設置 Awards

活動設有First Prize、Second Prize、Third Prize、Honorable Mention以及Grand Prize（Social Justice Awards 每個(ge) 類別各1位，Junior Prize 1位）特別大獎得主將獲得由Social Justice Watcher（SJW）頒發的1000元獎金。

參與(yu) 費用 Entry Fee

200人民幣。所有收入將被用於(yu) 項目運營以及其他非營利性活動。

寫(xie) 作與(yu) 演講比賽禁止組隊

本次活動組委對活動結果擁有最終裁定權，不接受任何形式的複議。
