Thanks for this opportunity！May I ask the language of the statement of Purpose has an impact on the application or not? If the college has already allowed writing statement of Purposein in English or Chinese, is writing in Chinese worse than writing in English?

That's an interesting question. It's a very difficult one to answer because it will depend on any weighting applied by the school you have in mind during whatever their admissions procedures.

Approaching it from a logicial standpoint (and assuming you are a native Chinese speaker), I would consider: Are English language skills important to successfully participating in the program? If so, how much? Can they be merely helpful or are they essential? Also, where is the school/program located? To the extent English is important to your participation, and depending on the competiveness of the program, you will need to make a judgement call. It would seem to me that if it is a competitive program and if English ability would be useful to the average participant on that program, you will probably benefit from using English.

However, if they have offered the option of submitting in Chinese, then of course that is an option that is open to you.
