帝國理工夏校參與分享：學習絕不是一個人的事，合作也不是一件簡單的事

全國首批英國牛津AQA考試局授予"金牌課程中心"的學校，福建省第一所獲得帝國理工免麵試offer的學校，2021年帝國理工在線夏校迎來了4位楓禾學子，今天讓我們(men) 與(yu) 四位楓禾學子一起搭上回憶的時光機，重溫這個(ge) 充滿喜悅與(yu) 收獲的夏天。

今天的4位主人公，他們(men) 分別是：張芫欣 Caitlin、郭世達 Daniel、盧黃逗 Lyndsey和呂榮燁 Nancy。

呂榮燁Nancy

團隊合作是極好的鍛煉領導力的機會(hui) ，也是一個(ge) 全新的舞台

這次的項目對我幫助很大。項目的前幾天助教都有分享他們(men) 申請大學的經驗技巧，所以這給我提供了很多幫助。

在小組配合的時候也知道了領導能力的重要性。因為(wei) project剛發下來的時候大家都比較迷茫，不知道從(cong) 哪入手。而且剛開始大家都不認識，這也讓溝通更加困難。這時候團隊裏麵就要有一個(ge) 領導能力很強的人，這樣團隊的效率才能的到提升，不然在短時間內(nei) 互相認識，分工，收集資料是很困難的。

導師也帶我們(men) 了解了很多關(guan) 於(yu) 經濟金融方麵的知識，這更加確定了我未來學習(xi) 專(zhuan) 業(ye) 的選擇。

在本次的Project合作中，呂同學主要負責CanSino Biologics 公司及公司所處的市場調研部分，以下是呂同學的作品。

公司所處的行業(ye) 和市場份額：

Which industry is the company in? How big of a player is it in the industry (market share)?

CanSino Biologics Inc.屬於(yu) 製藥行業(ye) 。CanSinoBIO的主要研究和開發重點是為(wei) 人類提供高質量的疫苗。

CanSino Biologics Inc. belongs to the pharmaceutical industry. At CanSinoBIO, their main research and development focus is high-quality vaccine for human use.

對於(yu) COVID-19疫苗，他們(men) 還沒有占到很大的市場份額，因為(wei) 他們(men) 研發出來的單劑量COVID-19疫苗在今年2月才被批準使用。但這也意味著，他們(men) 有很大的潛力和良好的前景。

For COVID-19 Vaccine, they have not yet accounted for a lot of market share, because the Single-Dose COVID-19 Vaccine they developed was only approved for use in February this year. But this also means that they have great potential and good prospects.

行業(ye) 走向的判斷：

Is this a growing industry or going into decline?

醫藥行業(ye) 是一個(ge) 正處於(yu) 上升期的朝陽行業(ye) ，尤其是對於(yu) 研發疫苗的公司而言。關(guan) 於(yu) 這個(ge) 結論呂同學給出了幾點論證：

1. 疫苗市場的規模與(yu) 人口數量直接相關(guan) ，中國的人口基數很大；

The size of the vaccine market is directly related to the size of the population, and China's population base is huge.

2. 國家不斷增加對公共衛生服務的投資，包括疾病預防控製和疫苗接種。

The state has continuously increased investment in public health services including disease prevention, control, and vaccination.

3. 人民的消費水平和疫苗接種意識也在不斷提高。隨著人口老齡化的加劇和接種人數的增加，疫苗的市場容量也在不斷擴大。

The people's consumption level and vaccination awareness have been continuously improved. As the aging population increases and the number of vaccinated people increases, the market capacity of the domestic vaccine industry will continue to expand.

4. 產(chan) 品處於(yu) 供不應求的狀態。該行業(ye) 在研發、注冊(ce) 、生產(chan) 、接種等方麵存在較高的壁壘和嚴(yan) 格的監管，產(chan) 品的生產(chan) 能力較弱，再加上新冠疫情的爆發，產(chan) 品一直供不應求。

In addition, the industry has high barriers and high regulatory barriers in R&D, registration, production, and inoculation. Therefore, some products have insufficient production capacity and have been in short supply for a long time.

 

盧黃逗Lyndsey

感謝自己的堅持與(yu) 積極參與(yu) ，收獲的不僅(jin) 僅(jin) 是知識而已

最開始在上課時會(hui) 有一點聽不懂或者是跟不上老師的思路，但是通過在課後複習(xi) 老師的課件，加深對課堂內(nei) 容的理解，在後麵的課程中，我逐漸可以跟上老師的思路，積極參與(yu) 到小組討論中去了。

項目中的國際空間站設計挑戰讓我印象十分深刻。因為(wei) 這是一個(ge) 我以前從(cong) 來沒有接觸過的領域，也非常考驗我們(men) 的個(ge) 人能力。通過這次的在線夏校讓我提升了我個(ge) 人的技能，例如溝通和合作。同時我也學到了很多不同的知識，交到了很多朋友。

項目中，盧同學負責的是利用波特五力模型分析產(chan) 業(ye) 結構。

 

波特五力模型是一個(ge) 識別和分析影響每個(ge) 行業(ye) 的五種競爭(zheng) 力量的模型，有助於(yu) 確定一個(ge) 行業(ye) 的弱點和優(you) 勢。

Porter's Five Forces is a model that identifies and analyzes five competitive forces that shape every industry and helps determine an industry's weaknesses and strengths.

市場新進入者的威脅 Threat of new entrants

1. 資本需求 Capital requirements：

製藥企業(ye) 的管理是非常嚴(yan) 格的。在任何新藥問世之前必須經過長期和複雜的臨(lin) 床試驗，這些試驗很可能被淘汰，因此，新藥的研究和開發成本極高。

The management of pharmaceutical enterprises is extremely strict. Before any new drug comes out, it must go through long-term and complex clinical trials, which are highly likely to be eliminated. Therefore, the research and development costs of new drugs are extremely high.

一種新藥的研究和開發通常要花費數億(yi) 美元，這對普通公司來說是難以承受的。隻有少數製藥巨頭有能力組織藥品的研發。

Research and development of a new drug usually cost hundreds of millions of dollars, which is too much for ordinary companies to afford. Only a few pharmaceutical giants have the ability to organize the research and development of medicine.

2. 政府規定 Government requirements：

由於(yu) 醫藥品與(yu) 人類健康和安全密切相關(guan) ，世界上所有國家都無一例外地通過嚴(yan) 格的法律來規範和管理醫藥品的生產(chan) 、銷售和管理。對於(yu) 那些沒有經過等級認證的藥品和企業(ye) 來說，是很難進入藥品市場的。

Since pharmaceutical commodities are closely related to human health and safety, all countries in the world, without exception, adopt strict laws to regulate and manage the production, management, sales, and import of pharmaceuticals. It is difficult for the drugs and enterprises that have not been demonstrated by the grade specification to enter the drug market.

中國的醫藥產(chan) 業(ye) 政策也對藥品的市場準入做了一定的規定，對一些藥品的生產(chan) 經營建立了專(zhuan) 營製度，如毒性藥品、麻醉藥品、精神藥品、放射性藥品、計劃生育用藥等。由國家統一定點專(zhuan) 營生產(chan) ，並由國家包辦依法定點經營。同時規定，禁止外資參與(yu) 國內(nei) 藥品批發和零售業(ye) 務。

張芫欣Caitlin

團隊合作需要的是所有人的完美配合，不僅(jin) 僅(jin) 是幾個(ge) 人的事。

我想說的是，活動中的小組合作讓我意識到交流和效率是多麽(me) 的重要，要想最後的成果脫穎而出，單單一兩(liang) 個(ge) 人上進有想法是行不通的。每個(ge) 人都需要一定的積極性，一直潛水並不是一種好的選擇。

此外。這次的夏校對我的幫助算是蠻多的。比如，本身我就比較傾(qing) 向於(yu) 學習(xi) 經濟在大學，上完夏校後，我更加了解了金融經濟，激發了更多對經濟的興(xing) 趣，所以這讓我更加確定之後的大學專(zhuan) 業(ye) 。另外，小組合作讓我有了機會(hui) 認識到更多優(you) 秀的同學們(men) ，夏校結束之後，我們(men) 還可以一起討論經濟方麵的問題和事件。

這次的夏校算是蠻有趣的，對於(yu) 未來想要報名帝國理工在線夏校的同學，我想說的是：上網課還是要有一定耐心，畢竟不是一天兩(liang) 天。還有就是，團隊的合作還是很重要的，大家都要一起努力完成任務，盡量保證高效率。最後就是，這次經濟金融學分配了一個(ge) 超級無敵好的漂亮助教姐姐，有什麽(me) 問題她都會(hui) 幫我們(men) 。

風險和關(guan) 鍵驅動因素是張同學所負責的部分。

未來賺錢的關(guan) 鍵因素 Key drivers to this company making money in the future?

1. 作為(wei) 國內(nei) 首支一針的新冠疫苗，它在國內(nei) 市場中將變得更加流行。

China's first single new crown vaccine was approved for marketing in February this year and it has become more popular in the domestic market, which means there is an opportunity to explore more new overseas markets in the long turn.

2. 疫苗的需求增加，可能會(hui) 導致價(jia) 格下降，產(chan) 量增加。隨著我國疫苗行業(ye) 的快速發展和對新產(chan) 品研發投入的逐步增加，國內(nei) 疫苗市場的產(chan) 品結構逐步完善。中國的疫苗監管體(ti) 係已經順利通過了世界衛生組織認證。國家將繼續加大對公共衛生服務的投入，疫苗行業(ye) 的市場容量將繼續擴大。

With the rapid development of my country's vaccine industry and the gradual increase in investment in the development of new products, the product structure of the domestic vaccine market has gradually improved. China's vaccine regulatory system has successfully passed the World Health Organization certification. The country has continued to invest in public health services including disease prevention and control and vaccination, thus the market capacity of the domestic vaccine industry will continue to expand. So when the demand for vaccine boost, it might lead to the price level decrease and output increase.

3. 新公司進入市場的速度會(hui) 很慢。因為(wei) 疫苗市場的準入門檻很高，它需要很高的安全水平。此外，還因為(wei) 疫苗的初始投資真的很高。

The berry of entry in the vaccine market is quite high because it requires a high level of security, which means the speed of new companies gets into the market will be slow. And also because the initial investment in vaccines is really high.

4. 公司的產(chan) 品線涵蓋了16種疫苗13個(ge) 疾病領域。除了被授權生產(chan) 的Ad5-Cov、預防腦膜炎球菌感染和埃博拉病毒的三個(ge) 商業(ye) 疫苗產(chan) 品外，公司有6個(ge) 處於(yu) 臨(lin) 床試驗或臨(lin) 床試驗申請階段的疫苗以及6個(ge) 處於(yu) 臨(lin) 床前期階段的疫苗。全麵的疫苗生產(chan) 線，為(wei) 公司的長遠發展提供了堅實的保障。

The company product line covers 16 kinds of vaccines 13 disease areas. In addition to the listed companies have been granted conditional approval of Ad5-Cov and prevention of meningococcal infection and Ebola virus disease of three adjacent commercial vaccine products, the company has 6 in research vaccine clinical trials or clinical trial application stage, 6 in the study vaccine at the preclinical stage. Comprehensive vaccine pipeline that subsequently sustained profitability for the company to provide a solid guarantee in the long turn.

 

郭世達Daniel

團隊合作不僅(jin) 可以鍛煉個(ge) 人技能，更是向同輩學習(xi) 的絕佳機會(hui) 。

這次夏校對我是十分有幫助的，在Medical的學習(xi) 中，我更加了解英國的醫療體(ti) 係和當一個(ge) 醫生所需要具備的能力。

像助教姐姐分享的在大學學習(xi) biomedical的課程、和一些申請建議都非常有幫助。此外，和小組成員一起做project的時候也讓我知道自己有很多不足的地方，了解到自己與(yu) 其他地區同學之間的差距，也從(cong) 他們(men) 身上學到了很多東(dong) 西。

郭同學與(yu) 小組中的其他7位同學一起工作完成了一份醫學Project。Project主要包含兩(liang) 個(ge) 任務：1.分析討論現有的不同種類的新冠疫苗的優(you) 劣；2.分析如何為(wei) 科學調研選擇合適的參與(yu) /目標人群。
