A-level物理command words總結

學好物理真是一門技術活，光是各種概念就已經讓人頭大，更何況以英文的形式出現。。。

A-level物理簡答題看起來複雜多變，讓人感到一頭霧水，無所適從(cong) 。

但實際上，做這類題有一定的方法和技巧，隻要熟練掌握，很多文字敘述題都可以迎刃而解。

在這類題中經常會(hui) 出現一些關(guan) 鍵詞(command words)，比如，‘Define’, ‘State’, ‘Compare’,‘Describe’等。

大綱中對這些Command words給出了明確的定義(yi) 與(yu) 描述，告訴學生該如何回答這類問題。

在這裏，我們(men) 總結經常出現的command words，幫助大家”拿下”這些紙老虎。

Part.1 State/Define

■ State/Define:

A formal statement is required or, if you give the defining equation,all terms in the equation must be explained. Where a ratio is involved, the ratio must be made clear. For example, density is mass per unit volume, not mass of unit volume. When defining a quantity, this should not be done in terms of units.

我們(men) 看到State/Define的簡答題，雖然要求給出formal statement, 但是如果你給的是defining equation也一樣拿分。我的天，終於(yu) 不用背這麽(me) 長的英文定義(yi) 了。

Part.2 Compare

■ Compare:

it requires candidates to provide both similarities and differences between things or concepts.

也就是說，對於(yu) ”Compare”的簡答題，我們(men) 需要明確的給出‘similarities’和‘differences’。看，是不是很容易就拿到分了。

Part.3 Describe

■ Describe：

Set out the facts or characteristics. The description of a process should address what happens, and when and/or where it happens.

“Describe”類的簡答題，也是比較容易丟(diu) 分的題。對於(yu) 這類題，我們(men) 需要強調兩(liang) 點點:”what happens”和“when/ where it happens”。舉(ju) 例說明：

首先, what happens ：alternating p.d. is applied, magnetic field changes, alternating p.d. is induced.

其次, when/where it happens: 在這裏，我們(men) 需要指出”where it happens”。

Magnetic field 是在iron core裏變化，the induced p.d. 存在於(yu) secondary coil。最好，我們(men) 將這些點串起來：alternating p.d. applied in the primary coil causes the changing magnetic field, which induces alternating p.d. in the secondary coil. 對比給出的答案，我們(men) 很容易拿到了full mark。

Part.4 Explain & Give

■ explain:

Set out reasons and/or mechanisms to address why and/or how something happens. For example, when asked to explain the change in rate of reaction seen on a graph, the expected response would suggest scientific reasons for any change seen, for example in terms of molecular collisions or enzymatic action.

對於(yu) 需要explain的題目，我們(men) 需要就題幹中發生的事情，給出物理機製或者原因。

■ Give:

a short answer is required without explanation.
