For centuries, newspapers have served as a traditional means of documenting and informing society about noteworthy occurrences. The fact that fewer people rely on newspapers for information updates raises the question of whether newspapers should be discontinued in the future as internet access expands. I personally believe The newspaper will not be displaced by technology and will continue to serve an important role in society.
Newspapers are often issued by the authorised press or even governments, giving them credibility unequalled by the internet compared to the modern way. Due to the fact that no validation is required for posting, the greatest strength of internet news — its popularity — is a double-edged sword, as it would inevitably lead to some persons fabricating news for attention or other harmful goals. Panic and insecurity may arise when individuals are misled by false information and begin to spread it. Before publishing in the newspaper for public consumption, news must undergo multiple rounds of review to verify factual correctness and minimise misunderstandings. As a result, it is likely that the majority of people will continue to favour the conventional manner of acquiring information, which spares them the hassles of wrong information.
The prospective development of a smarter newspaper could alter the perspectives of internet fans who claim that newspaper words are incapable of expressing the objective's genuine sense in the same manner as internet images. With the prevalence of digital technology, many newspapers enable readers to scan the code next to the articles in order to merge newspaper articles and internet videos seamlessly. Additionally, they could comment on specific events and interact with other viewers below the videos. Now that readers have various options to read or watch the news, it is easy to assume that the upgraded newspaper can satisfy the majority's needs.
Despite the fact that the internet appears to be the dominant medium as the use of mobiles devices expands, I still believe newspapers will continue to exist owing to its distinct qualities and the adoption of new technologies.
