檢索Wall Street Journal 快速可以學會的幾個寫作知識點

實際上可以是任何表達靠譜刊物的檢索，選擇WSJ 的原因是它提供PDF 的版本，方便全刊物檢索。

所謂檢索，就是通過刊物為(wei) 例子，去證明有些表達。以下我們(men) 想去證明的寫(xie) 作知識點有：

檢索的對象是2022.8.1 刊的WSJ

1. because  這樣的句子不能單獨用，因為這些詞引導的句子本質上是從句, 那麽搭配著使用的需要一個主句，就是類似which 引導的從句需要有個對應的主句是一個意思

首先在全刊23個(ge) 頁麵處有出現，基本都是類似because 小寫(xie) 的情況，說明了都不是獨立成句子的； 哪怕是大寫(xie) 的情況，也是有對應的主句的，比如下麵 Because demand is hard to predict, many companies turned to just-in-time production.

2. since 更多作為(wei) “自從(cong) ”解釋來用，表示“原因”建議就不要用since 了，because 挺好的，“無意義(yi) 的多樣” 是我們(men) 寫(xie) 作時候的壞習(xi) 慣

  一共檢索到的21個(ge) 頁麵內(nei) 的since，都是類似上麵這樣引導的時間狀語   2. and/but 等連接詞的使用   and 很少放句首使用

所以當我們(men) 要另起一個(ge) 句子的時候，不要習(xi) 慣性的加個(ge) And 啊。

當然這個(ge) 不是說and 不能連接兩(liang) 個(ge) 句子，比如下麵這個(ge)

Mr. Haley, through a company he owns, consulted on physical and cybersecurity for the Catawba reservation and casino project in 2018, and the company was paid with a stake in the casino, a representative of his company said.

前兩(liang) 個(ge) and 連接的都是句內(nei) 名詞，第三個(ge) and 連接的是兩(liang) 個(ge) 句子：

句子1

Mr. Haley, through a company he owns, consulted on physical and cybersecurity for the Catawba reservation and casino project in 2018

句子2 

the company was paid with a stake in the casino, a representative of his company said.

為(wei) 什麽(me) 把這兩(liang) 個(ge) 句子單拿出來呢？

因為(wei) 這裏and 前麵的逗號使用是個(ge) 知識點：類似上麵兩(liang) 個(ge) 句子的主語不一致，一個(ge) 是Mr. Haley， 一個(ge) 是 the company， 所以這兩(liang) 個(ge) 句子連接的時候，and 的前麵要加上逗號。

類似例子

The recent decline in commodity prices has started to show up in consumer prices in some countries, and economists expect further moderation in coming months.

But 也是類似上麵and的用法原則：連接句子的but 不多，如果連接的時候前後句子是不同主語的，but 的前麵要加上逗號

e.g. Exceptions would be allowed in cases of rape and incest, but a patient seeking an abortion for either reason would have to sign a notarized affidavit attesting to the attack.

還有要提一下的是從(cong) 全刊來看，but 用的會(hui) 比and 少很多，這個(ge) 也要理解，文本如果老是在轉，那也太亂(luan) 了。
