1.VCE EAL的SACs考什麽(me) ？DV

全年VCE EAL共六個(ge) SAC考試，分別為(wei) Text Response 、Language AnalysisCreative Response、Comparative Writing、Listening Test、以及Oral Presentation。VCE EAL中每次SAC考試占全年SAC的比例，不同的學校略有不同，但總體(ti) 依然是——

Text Response以及Comparative Writing占比例最高，分別約占30%；

其次是Language Analysis，大概20%；

聽力Listening 和演講Oral占比相對少，分別占10%左右。

VCE EAL首個(ge) 目標—Text Response（TR）

VCE EAL中的Text response不僅(jin) 占比高，而且一般會(hui) 是VCE EAL中的第一個(ge) SAC考，在Term 1或Term 2開始時進行。

既然如此重要，讓我們(men) 就先來看看VCE EAL中TR 的高分數段評分標準：

在VCAA出題官方給出的評分標準中，我們(men) 可以看出：除了對題目的理解、作品有關(guan) 內(nei) 容的運用、書(shu) 麵語言的準確運用等基本要求，考官對於(yu) 清晰的文章結構和行文思路是非常看重的。

而這一點也是相對比較有規律可循的，比如每個(ge) 學校都會(hui) 提到的VCE EAL段落結構TEEL，但是想要出彩，這是遠遠不夠的。

相信同學們(men) 在平時學校上課和VCE EAL練習(xi) 裏麵經常會(hui) 用到”TEEL”的body段結構，其實就是“Topic sentence, Explanation, Evidence, Linking”的縮寫(xie) 。

一般情況下這種結構簡單直接，而且可以寫(xie) 得有理有據。圍繞一句簡明扼要的topic sentence我們(men) 可以展開具體(ti) 分析和解釋，即explanation, 而evidence來自於(yu) 文中的內(nei) 容，可能是quotes(引用)可能是作者手法等等，待例證後我們(men) 就可以把觀點做個(ge) 小結即linking，這個(ge) 大家應該都熟悉我就不詳細說了。

然而在之前的教學中有很多VCE EAL 的考生們(men) 會(hui) 反映TEEL結構讓他們(men) 常常寫(xie) 不夠字數，比如解釋了topic sentence後麵寫(xie) 了quotes就不知道怎麽(me) 展開分析了，經常一段100字以上也很難寫(xie) 到。

其實這個(ge) 問題解決(jue) 方法有很多，今天在這講其中一個(ge) 最基礎而有效的小方法，它的縮寫(xie) 是“”TEEAL”，隻多了這個(ge) “A”（analysis of the evidence）即分析文本例子,說起來很簡單，但如何有效地把 “E” 和“A”有效地融合到一起，顯得有邏輯並且內(nei) 容豐(feng) 富呢？讓我們(men) 以近幾年比較熱門的一部高考作品“I Am Malala”的一個(ge) 題目為(wei) 例來分析一下具體(ti) 如何操作吧，對這部作品不熟悉的童鞋們(men) 也不影響理解哈，我們(men) 重要的是看方法。

VCE EAL題目：How does “I Am Malala” explore the importance of education in the face of difficulties?

Step1

首先拿到這道題後我們(men) 要先把關(guan) 鍵詞找出來進行paraphrase,這樣有利於(yu) 我們(men) 的brainstorm——關(guan) 鍵詞包括 “importance”, “education” 和“difficulties”三個(ge) ，他們(men) 的同義(yi) 詞可以分別是 significance /value teaching / schooling / knowledge ; adversity / distress 或者更具體(ti) 的跟文章有關(guan) 的同義(yi) 詞可以有 injustice / injuries / corruption / violence 等等都可以算是difficulties之中的。學會(hui) 把關(guan) 鍵詞同意轉換和找到具體(ti) 的有關(guan) 下意詞是文章思路構架的關(guan) 鍵一步

Step2

然後如果我們(men) 想去寫(xie) 一段body段是關(guan) 於(yu) 論證教育在對於(yu) 應對巴基斯坦社會(hui) 中的腐敗和不公平等問題中的作用，可以考慮到比如受過教育的人更容易辨別出他們(men) 的腐敗而且也能積極地想辦法應對。

Step3

根據“TEEAL”可以寫(xie) 成例如如下形式：

Education can facilitate the process of fighting againstthe socialinjusticeandcorruption(T)since it can decrease ignorance of the people and increase theircourageto confront the corrupted authority and achieve justice(T-Explanation). In Pakistan, ignorance ‘breeds’ corruptions of the government and it allows ‘politicians to fool people.’ The Taliban officials fully understand that it is much easier to fool their citizens if the people are not educated, while it will be another situation – if the schools have educated accountants or effective management from the department of education, such corruption will be found, stopped and punished. Yousafzai demonstrates this by presenting an event that the educated Ziauddin is asked to “bribe” the officials of the education department when he applies for the Khushal school(Evidence+ Analysis). Instead, he bravely rejects their immoral requirement and comes up with solutions to fight against the unjust education restrictions on girls, which contributes to the achievement of justice(A). Therefore, education can be the way that counters ignorance and develop ‘independent thoughts’ rather than ‘obedience’, thus creating greater possibility of combating theinequalityandexploitation(L).

注意

從(cong) 這個(ge) 主體(ti) 段的小片段裏，我們(men) 能看出來雖然結構上是按照TEEAL構思的，但是很多時候是會(hui) 混在一起的，並沒有必要按照一句必須是evidence而另一句必須是analysis這樣來，大家日後可以盡可能地去把這幾個(ge) 部分有機地融合在一起，並且變換不同表達方式圍繞中心要討論的點解釋為(wei) 主。比如在這裏是一直圍繞麵對不公平和腐敗這種問題或困難是教育給予了人們(men) 與(yu) 之抗爭(zheng) 的勇氣，然後最後總結link back to the topic sentence。

不要大篇幅地複述文章中的內(nei) 容做例子，也不要一點都不敢提到文章的片段，
