John Locke「賽事背景」
John Locke論文競賽被稱為(wei) 人文社科含金量最高的國際論文比賽之一，由位於(yu) 英國牛津的獨立教育組織 John Locke Institute與(yu) 牛津、普林斯頓、布朗等大學的教授合作舉(ju) 辦的學術寫(xie) 作比賽。旨在考核學生的獨立思考能力、邏輯推理能力和批判性思維。
每年暑期，該比賽吸引了全球最擅長思考和寫(xie) 作的中學生參與(yu) 。往屆優(you) 勝者遍布哈佛、耶魯、普林斯頓、牛津、劍橋等世界名校。
John Locke「賽事規則」
競賽內(nei) 容
共有七大學科主題，分別為(wei) 哲學、政治、經濟、曆史、心理、神學和法律；對於(yu) 高年級組，每個(ge) 主題設置3道提問；低年級組則不細分話題，提供6個(ge) 具體(ti) 的寫(xie) 作題目，從(cong) 中擇一選擇。
適合群體(ti)
任何國家和任何學校的學生均可參加，參賽者分為(wei) 高年級組和低年級組；Junior組：提交論文時年滿14周歲及以下；Senior組：提交論文時年滿18周歲及以下。
論文規範
1、字數：正文內(nei) 容不超過2000字（不包括圖表、數據表、注釋、參考文獻和作者聲明等）
2、pdf的文件名必須采用以下格式：FirstName-LastName-Category-QuestionNumber.pdf
評獎原則
論文將根據知識水平和對相關(guan) 材料的理解、證據的有效使用、論證的質量、結構、寫(xie) 作風格和說服力來進行評判。建議考生盡可能準確、直接地回答問題。所有的論文獎都由牛津大學的資深學者評審。
獎項安排
1、Grand Prize (1名）：獲得John Locke Institute10,000美元的青年榮譽獎學金，可用於(yu) 參加學院一個(ge) 或多個(ge) summer school或gap year課程。
2、學科領域獎（Winner、Second Prize、Third Prize各1名）：每個(ge) 學科選出一個(ge) 最佳作品，可獲得2000美元獎學金，用於(yu) 覆蓋John Locke學院任何課程的費用。
3、入圍獎：年度各領域的優(you) 秀文章獲得High Commendation入圍獎。
優(you) 質論文將會(hui) 收到推薦和提名，提名名單將於(yu) 7月31日（GMT）公布。
提名者將會(hui) 在10月份受邀到牛津參加邀請製學術會(hui) 議和晚宴，同時將會(hui) 公布冠軍(jun) 和一二三等獎（參會(hui) 和晚宴費用自費，自願參加）。
所有入圍的參賽者和獲獎者，都可以下載電子證書(shu) 。如果參賽者獲得一等獎、二等獎或三等獎，並前往倫(lun) 敦參加頒獎晚宴，則將會(hui) 收到一份簽名證書(shu) 。
