本次 TOC ASIA 夏季全國總決(jue) 賽將迎來一項重要舉(ju) 措——新增說服性演講（Persuasive Speaking）賽別，作為(wei) 2025-26 學年正式上線前的首發展示組。這標誌著賽事國際化進程邁入全新階段，也是 TOC Asia 九周年之際的重要裏程碑。

對於(yu) 已有原創演講經驗的選手來說，說服性演講賽別是一個(ge) 絕佳的進階機會(hui) ，為(wei) 衝(chong) 擊 TOC US 及 WIDPSC 全球賽事奠定堅實基礎。此次引入國際通行的說服性演講賽製，正是為(wei) 了打破地域限製，為(wei) 亞(ya) 洲青少年提供更廣闊的展示平台。

A note from Coach Will on the introduction of WIDPSC Persuasive Speaking for the 2025-26 school year.

Speech and debate is a global community. It's so much more than one country, one format, or one vision of what strong English communication is. As TOC Asia moves to a decade of TOC in China, we're excited to truly embrace that vision. Today, we're announcing the return of persuasive speaking to the TOC Asia competition lineup, using rules based on the World Individual Debate and Public Speaking Championship's Persuasive Speech event. We plan to run a division of Persuasive Speaking at the Summer National Championship as a showcase event to launch Persuasive Speaking onto the 2025-2026 calendar.

For those of you who are familiar with Original Oratory, you will fit in perfectly to WIDPSC persuasive speaking. A speech that meets OO rules also fits into WIDPSC rules. You can immediately sign up for Persuasive speaking and fit right in! Competing in WIDPSC will give you a uniquely global perspective and feedback for when you take your OO to the TOC US tournaments next April and May.

Just like Oratory, Persuasive Speaking uses a problem-solution format. This means that speakers should identify a problem and discuss solutions to it. Oratory calls it a “topic of significance” and Persuasive Speaking says “serious problem that actually exists”.

There are a couple of minor differences. First, in Persuasive Speaking, the time rule is 7 to 13 minutes. Longer isn't always better though- the key is still to keep your speech persuasive, so many times 10 minutes is a great time for speakers. If I put my coaching hat on instead of my tournament director hat on for a second, this is great because it gives speakers with Oratory experience a bit of time to slow down and focus on their delivery without having to cut more from their message.

Second, students are allowed to have a notecard when they speak. As students get better, notecards start to disappear, but for our newer persuasive speakers that safety net gives you room if you have a bit of your speech you forget. It can make competitive speaking less scary as you transition to writing your own speech and memorizing it.

As we move forward as a speech and debate community, I'm excited to see our students compete for the opportunity to grow their skill sets and even reach the point where they can compete to reach their national teams in the WIDPSC global championships. TOC Asia is proud to support students and coaches from around Asia to help Asian students become more competitive on the global stage. By moving to WIDPSC format for persuasive speaking, we open that door for students to gain valuable experience to be ready to compete to make national teams and to truly Find Your Voice.

演講與(yu) 辯論是一項全球性的社群活動，它從(cong) 來不隻是某一個(ge) 國家、某一種形式，或某一種對英語表達能力的定義(yi) 。隨著 TOC Asia 即將迎來十周年，我們(men) 也希望真正擁抱這個(ge) 全球化、多元化的舞台。因此，我們(men) 今天正式宣布，將“Persuasive Speaking（說服性演講）”重新加入 TOC Asia 的比賽項目。該項目將采用 World Individual Debate and Public Speaking Championship（WIDPSC）說服性演講的官方規則。我們(men) 計劃在今年夏季的全國總決(jue) 賽上率先舉(ju) 辦 Persuasive Speaking 示範組，為(wei) 2025-26 學年的正式上線打好基礎。

如果你之前參加過 Original Oratory（原創演講），完全可以直接參與(yu) WIDPSC 的 Persuasive Speaking。符合 OO 規則的稿件，同樣適用於(yu) WIDPSC規則。你可以直接報名參賽，順利銜接！WIDPSC 的舞台將幫助你用國際視角審視自己的 OO 演講，並在明年 4 月、5 月前往美國參加 TOC US 時，收獲更多寶貴的反饋與(yu) 經驗。

和原創演講一樣，說服性演講采用提出問題-解決(jue) 型結構，選手需提出一個(ge) 問題，說明其重要性，並給出解決(jue) 方案。原創演講稱其為(wei) “重要議題”，而說服性演講規定為(wei) “一個(ge) 真實存在的嚴(yan) 重問題”。

當然，說服性演講和原創演講也有一些小區別：首先，說服性演講的時間要求是 7-13 分鍾。但時間長並不意味著更好，關(guan) 鍵還是要保持說服力。實際上，很多優(you) 質演講控製在 10 分鍾左右效果最好。站在教練的角度看，這樣的時間設定非常適合原創演講選手，他們(men) 不用刪減太多內(nei) 容，可以更從(cong) 容地打磨表達與(yu) 節奏。

第二，選手允許在台上攜帶一張便簽卡（Notecard）。隨著選手水平提升，便簽卡的使用會(hui) 自然減少。但對初學者來說，這能作為(wei) 一個(ge) 緩衝(chong) ，萬(wan) 一忘詞也有保障，降低心理壓力，幫助順利完成從(cong) 寫(xie) 稿、背稿到現場演講的過渡。

未來，TOC Asia 將持續為(wei) 亞(ya) 洲地區的師生搭建更豐(feng) 富、更高水平的全球舞台。我們(men) 也希望更多選手能借助 WIDPSC 的規則體(ti) 係，積累國際經驗，未來有機會(hui) 代表國家隊參加全球總決(jue) 賽。Persuasive Speaking 將是你們(men) 打破圈層、Find Your Voice 的全新起點。

賽事規則及流程

話題要求

Persuasive Speaking 是一篇由選手本人撰寫(xie) 並表演的 7-13 分鍾說服性演講，要求內(nei) 容、表達與(yu) 風格兼具。選手需以清晰有力的語言和肢體(ti) 表達，向觀眾(zhong) 闡述一個(ge) 真實存在的嚴(yan) 重問題，並提出解決(jue) 方案。該項目不僅(jin) 考察英語口語，更關(guan) 注寫(xie) 作與(yu) 表達技巧。

演講結構

通常采用提出問題-解決(jue) 問題（Problem-Solution）結構，闡述問題、說明重要性、提出解決(jue) 辦法。

演講必須由選手本人獨立撰寫(xie) ，引用/參考內(nei) 容不得超過 150 字，並必須注明出處，嚴(yan) 禁抄襲。稿件必須為(wei) 原創，嚴(yan) 禁由教練、家長、朋友、AI 或其他人代寫(xie) 。

背稿與(yu) 便簽卡

選手應盡可能背誦演講全文，可攜帶一張便簽卡。評委通常更欣賞脫稿演講。若私自藏匿小抄或違規使用其他輔助材料，將麵臨(lin) 取消成績或最高禁賽處罰。

時間要求

演講時長須控製在7-13 分鍾內(nei) ，超時或不足，評委有權酌情扣分。若全場評委一致認定超時/不足，將影響該選手最終排名，但無固定扣分標準，評委擁有裁量權。超出13分鍾時，評委可適當示意選手結束，以避免拖延賽程。

比賽紀律

演講完畢後，選手須留在賽場聆聽其他選手演講（如需參加其他組別可提前離場）。所有選手都應作為(wei) 觀眾(zhong) ，尊重他人演講。

禁止道具/服裝/視聽輔助

演講過程中禁止使用道具、服裝或視聽輔助材料。違規者，評委將自動忽略相關(guan) 內(nei) 容，屢犯者將被取消成績。

評分標準

評委將在評分表上打分（80-100 分，80 分以下僅(jin) 針對不當言行或嚴(yan) 重違規情況），並進行名次排名（1-參賽人數）。分數允許同分，排名不可並列。半分（如 89.5）可使用。比賽現場沒有口頭點評，評委需在評分表上書(shu) 麵反饋。

分數範圍

TOC沒有按賽別計分的製度，但一般來說，89-91 分是符合賽事平均水準的分數，94分是有望成為(wei) 前三名的分數，97.5-98分是可以贏得比賽的學生分數。98.5-100 分的學生會(hui) 讓您大吃一驚，您希望他們(men) 在全球冠軍(jun) 賽中與(yu) 母語演講者一較高下。您希望100分的學生能進入淘汰賽，並在高級別的全球比賽中勝出。

組委會(hui) 將根據選手填報的信息於(yu) 選手報名成功的一周內(nei) 完成參賽資格審核，請注意查收郵件！

• 通過參賽資格審核的選手，將收到組委會發送的正式參賽邀請函
• 未通過參賽資格審核的選手，將收到組委會發送的通知郵件，且報名費會原路徑退回至付款賬戶
