01.放棄複雜句子結構，不寫(xie) 長難句

你是不是覺得，托福寫(xie) 作就是要寫(xie) 出一串串“又臭又長”的句子，才能顯得自己“高大上”？錯！美國人最討厭的就是“裹腳布”式的長難句。一句話平均15個(ge) 詞就可以達到托福高分的要求，簡潔易讀才是王道！

堆砌長難句隻會(hui) 讓考官看得頭大，並且極大提高犯錯頻率。分數自然也不會(hui) 好看。記住：“清晰簡潔”才是托福寫(xie) 作的真諦！

在適合（96-105）分段衝(chong) 分班裏的W同學就讀於(yu) 公立高中，曾經是大長句的愛好者，一句話曾經長達60詞，比托福閱讀還要喪(sang) 心病狂！經過老師課上課下的苦口婆心循循善誘，文風變成了如圖：

In my opinion, it is more reasonable for the government to regulate the social media platforms. It is more authoritative. Some social media companies desire profits from short video traffic. So they are likely to become less strict to regulate their platforms. Companies may lack the incentive to regulate their users and remove armful information. However, government has the power to punish social media companies if they spread harmful information. So, it is more effective for the government to announce a policy to reduce younger children from using social media. Governments can also tax and penalize those companies that do not abide by strict rules. For example, last year our local government announced a policy on platforms to prohibit teenagers from using social media for more than 2 hours on midweek. According to recent research, this policy reduced the number of children who were addicted by social media by 70%. This percentage was remarkably higher than the percentage of previous policy of allowing companies to regulate by themselves. Thus, it is more effective to allow the government to regulate social media platforms.

02.少寫(xie) 不確定的高端單詞

全篇高中詞匯也能高分

你是不是覺得，托福寫(xie) 作就是要用一堆“高大上”的詞匯才能鎮住考官？NO! 高端單詞用錯了，分分鍾暴露你的“偽(wei) 學霸”身份。零星的高端詞匯不僅(jin) 不能體(ti) 現你的語言能力，還會(hui) 讓文章看起來像“拚湊的破布”。高中詞匯用得好，照樣能拿高分！

同樣在（96-105）分段衝(chong) 分班裏的G同學通篇沒有一個(ge) 高端單詞，平均單詞長度隻有4.4個(ge) 字母。

這是G同學的作文：

In my opinion, schools can offer students summer camps before the school year begins to make the transition to a new school easier for teenagers. Teachers can bring all the new students together and prepare them for the courses in the upcoming semester during the camp. Students can have the opportunity to get familiar with their future classmates, the campus, and the schedule. In contrast, with no such summer camps, it would be very hard for new students to blend in. For example, my friend moved to a different city midway through a semester. He did so intentionally to attend the summer camp organized by his new school. He told me that the camp was really helpful. He made a lot of new friends and got to know the different teaching styles of his teachers. Once the school year begins, no one could tell that he was new to the school.

03.放棄複雜邏輯，簡單膚淺沒有問題

你是不是覺得，托福寫(xie) 作就是要寫(xie) 出“驚天動地”的深刻邏輯才能打動考官？錯！托福寫(xie) 作不是哲學論文，考官也沒時間琢磨你的“高深思想”。切題、有細節就夠了！邏輯太複雜反而容易寫(xie) 不清楚，考官看不懂，分數自然就低了。記住：簡單直接，才是托福寫(xie) 作的“靈魂”！

Though Paul's idea seems plausible, I endorse Kelly that online shopping is affecting society in a positive way overall. First and foremost, it could save people's time spent commuting to shopping venues as well as purchasing. Take me as an example. I am a senior high school students with an overly packed schedule every day. I am constantly bombarded by papers, assignments, projects and other school work. Therefore, it is nearly impossible for me to squeeze my time to go to shopping market to buy some snacks, and it is even harder to go to shopping mall to buy new clothes. However, with shopping site comes a much more convenient way of purchasing. Only clicking on screens can be enough to bring the commodities right on the doorstep. Without online shopping, I cannot imagine how miserable my life would be. Therefore, I totally agree that the advantages of online shopping far outweigh its negative sides.

04.不過多在意簡單語法錯誤

你是不是覺得，三單、名詞複數這些小錯誤會(hui) 毀了你的高分夢？錯！美國人日常說話也會(hui) 犯這些錯誤，隻要不影響理解，控製住錯誤頻率，小瑕疵不會(hui) 影響你的高分之路！

In my opinion, the online reviews ofthe productsare not useful. I strongly agree with Andrew’s point that people are more likely to post reviews after a bad experience than after a good one. I’d add that some stores will buy positive reviews but actuallytheir product not worth their while. This kind of story is not rare, for example, Ihavefound a hat online which have lots of marvelous reviews and I bought it due to the marvelousreviewithas. When I finally received it,I found out that this hatis not qualifiedand those positive reviewsareposted by robots. The latest survey conducted by the United Nations, after polling 5000 stores, found that the majority of storeshavebought positive reviewswhich the product does not have.

On the other hand, Claire mentioned that those reviews are written by ordinary consumers who are like us. However, she did not recognize that those consumers are notsameas us. They may come fromdifferent kinds of classesand they have different kinds ofvisual angle.

All in all, I believe that those reviews are not useful for customers.
