在之前公布的暑期時間線中，我們(men) 向大家透露了今年夏天，NHSDLC組委會(hui) 將在 線上全國邀請賽中 推出全新辯論挑戰賽組別

今天就要為(wei) 大家正式揭曉 2024 NHSDLC線上全國邀請賽 即將迎來的全新組別 那就是——

林肯道格拉斯辯論 作為(wei) 美國主流辯論賽製之一

以更加“針鋒相對”的1V1形式展開

聚焦於(yu) 有關(guan) 道德、價(jia) 值與(yu) 哲學的討論

接下來跟著我們(men) 一起了解

NHSDLC首屆 林肯道格拉斯辯論挑戰賽 比賽信息

The Lincoln-Douglas debates were a series of formal political debates between the challenger, Abraham Lincoln, and the incumbent, Stephen A. Douglas, in a campaign for one of Illinois' two United States Senate seats. Although Lincoln lost the election, these debates launched him into national prominence which eventually led to his election as President of the United States.

1858年，Abraham Lincoln和Stephen Douglas在伊利諾伊州舉(ju) 行了一場參議員競選。當時，道格拉斯是現任參議員，但為(wei) 了奪取道格拉斯的席位，林肯向道格拉斯發起了一係列辯論。

Lincoln and Douglas agreed to debate in seven of the nine Illinois Congressional Districts; the seven where Douglas had not already spoken. In each debate either Douglas or Lincoln would open with an hour address. The other would then speak for an hour and a half. The first then had 30 minutes of rebuttal. In the seven debates, Douglas, as the incumbent, was allowed to go first four times.

盡管林肯在選舉(ju) 中失敗，但這一係列辯論極大地提高了他的知名度，為(wei) 他在1860年當選總統奠定了基礎。辯論反映出的政治和道德分歧揭示了美國麵臨(lin) 的核心問題：一個(ge) 半奴隸半自由的國家是否能夠持續存在。

林肯道格拉斯辯論是美國曆史上一次決(jue) 定性的公共辯論，凸顯了圍繞奴隸製擴張問題的分歧，對美國的政治格局產(chan) 生了深遠影響。

Lincoln-Douglas debate (more commonly referred to as LD) is a competitive speaking activitythat involves two debaters arguing for and against a resolution.   Today, LDfocuses on the conflicting values of social and philosophical issues, for example, by examiningquestions of morality, justice, democracy, etc. Typically, LD debates concern themselves withdeciding whether or not certain actions, or states of affairs, are good or bad, right or wrong.moral or immoral.

如今的林肯道格拉斯辯論 (Lincoln-Douglas debate，俗稱 “LD辯論”) 依然是以1V1形式展開，由兩(liang) 名辯手就一項決(jue) 議進行正反辯論。亦是美國的主流辯論賽製之一，廣泛流行於(yu) 美國的高中、大學校園內(nei) ，許多國際大型聯賽中均設置了LD辯論組別的賽製。

從(cong) 辯題領域來看，LD辯論更側(ce) 重於(yu) 社會(hui) 和哲學問題中相互衝(chong) 突的價(jia) 值觀，多研究道德、正義(yi) 、民主等問題。
